Where do I start? The bathrooms were filthy, the blankets stunk. There were no lockers as advertised. We booked the place because it was the only thing in the whole city available that was under $200 and I suggest that be the only circumstance any one else book this place. Even if you do book they may still turn you away we saw this happen too many times in our 4 night stay.

Staff was accommodating. Location is too far but easily accessible by train which was a plus. Other reviews complained about bed bugs, but I actually saw them wash the sheets and cases while I was there for 4 nights. Met great people there and exchanged email addresses. There was no internet access or wifi. I felt safe and secured. Would recommend as an alternative spot to stay.

It gave clear directions to find it. It is less than 5 minutes walk from a CTA metro station.

It was cheap. The lady at the desk when I checked in (who's last day was the day I left) was nice.

I'd heard bad reviews about the place, but although it was nothing special, all the staff were friendly and helpful, and it is reaonably clean and well kept. Only a block from the lake, train station and shops.

Nothing, really! There were realy creapy preople working and staying at that place. In the morning, the were a few seemingly homeless people sleeping in the sofa's. You don't get your own roomkey. It stays unlocked or you have to ask the staff to open the room for you. Everybody has to leave the hostel from 11 a.m. untill 2 p.m. There wasn't any toiletpaper left. There was a guy of about 45 years of age walking in the bathroom with only a shirt around his middle. I know this because I saw him 'pieing' and just pulling up this shirt and pie. I saw this guy walking there very often. He was to often in the bathroom to feel comfortable. Furthermore they charged me too much! They didn't know I payed about 15 % at hostelbookers.com. They couldn't see this in their system and charged me the walkinn fee. After a lot of complaining and arguing about it the made a restitution. The washing machine didn't work. I can go on for a long time about this. Normally I don't react on email asking for reviews about hostels, but for this one I deffinatly make an exception. No joke, this is really a place where you'd better stay away from! I had the best day of my life leaving this place after 2 days!

some of the staff were reasonably cheery i suppose. but apart from that, sadly, not a lot.

The big "living room" area was a nice place to meet other people. But in general, everything was more average or even bad (a bit dirty, sometimes no toilet paper, the wireless connection was poor and regularly broke down...)

Filthy kip manager rude and totally unhelpful we were told we didn't know how to work water taps! NO REFUND given or solution or apology given they didn't give a damn do not let anyone stay there it is a total disgrace.
