Liked: Free pool, table football and table games is just great. Having access to the Internet and printing facilities is very handy as well.

Disliked: It was a bit hard to find in the first place.

Liked: Except my roomates who weren't, the place is really clean. Every rooms is being clean every morning, sheets and towels too.

Liked: The location is great because all services (restaurant, pub, club, train, and etc) are vey close to the hostel.

Liked: The hostel is located in a beautiful neighbourhood, close to many shops, bars and restaurants, as well as being close to public transport. The facilities are new and clean and the staff are very helpful. There are always activities on offer, which makes meeting others easy and enjoyable.

Disliked: The only problem I had with this hostel was finding it with the directions provided.

Liked: Offered wide range of facilities such as breakfast and free printing. close to a CTA stop and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Directions given were aimed at Americans (directions of East/West are slightly confusing) but managed to find hostel ok.

Liked: There are interactive screens that list attractions and also help you find restaurants, bars, shops. The staff is helpful and everyone is friendly and the facilities are great - there is one bathroom per floor for ladies and gents separately -

Disliked: They were busy with renovations so there was a lot of noise from about 9 every morning, I believe this is a temporary thing.

Liked: Clean, good location and good amenities. Also free breakfast and free barbeque some evenings!

Disliked: The showers were a little small and lacking privacy (I know they're single sex, but some of us still don't like to parade around nude). The night attendent/receptionist was rude and a lot of the staff were lacking general civility and service to customers.

Liked: Big common area, good free breakfast, plenty of free computers, quiet location close to the beach.

Disliked: The kitchen was a bit disgusting most times, lacks utensils & other cooking equipment. The room was stuffy & we had to borrow a fan from downstairs.

Liked: awesome lounge, piano bar (yeah they really have a piano here and also some guitars if somebody wants to play, tv room and entrance hall.

Liked: The lobby area is very good, with lots of infomation about what's on. Free internet, printing and breakfast were a bonus! The rooms are secure.

Disliked: The property is a little tired as you go up thr floors, the bathrooms are being done up on the upper floors. In general though the property was great, and good value. You need to take the 'L' downtown, but the neighbourhood is lovely and really near the beach and lots of nice resturants and cafes.

Liked: Chicago getaway is situated in a very nice part of the city. The staff were friendly and always happy to go out of their way to help guests. The Pub crawl and jazz nights were perfect for socialising with other guests. I would stay at this hostel again.

Liked: Ok so Im not going to say DONT stay at this property but our stay was horrible. When you walk in it is all clean and modern looking. It looks very promising, there is free internet, sofas, a big kitchen, a big dining area and a lounge. But then as soon as you walk through the doors into the corridor it changes, it is dark and damp. We stayed in a private room and I regret that big time. Our room was through a door at the end of the corridor, you went into the fireescape area and THEN into our door for the room. The temperature plumeted as we walked and going into our room I was surprised we couldn't see our breath (especially as it was May). The second night we were there we had a sheet over us, a blanket, another sheet and another blanket. The bathroom was also smelly and dirty, the whole room smelt like damp and Im sure my clothes were a little damp. It was NOT good value for money, we could have spent an extra $25 a night in a hotel down the road for ALOT more conveniences. HOWEVER, they were renovating so I think if you went later in the year/2011 it may be nicer. PS - if you're gluten intolerant take your own breakfast! There are only muffins, bread and bagels for option.

Liked: Everything! Excellent breakfast, Internet facilities, laundry.Just a basic room. Shared bathrooms can get very messy but other than that, excellent.

Liked: The free internet and breakfast were great and they looked like they had a lot of events organised. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 night so didn't get to appreciate it all...

Liked: Good hostel! Free breakfast, free internet. We enjoyed our stay here. The only thing was that the pots and pans are very small so it's difficult to cook.
