Liked: Getaway hostel is near lincoln zoo and to metro cta you will need only 10min. Breakfast was good not like in other hostels: Beagels, toast,butter,caffee, milk, fruits, cornflakes, jelly,... Hostel stuff is very friendly and helpfull.

Disliked: Parking fee is 25 dollar per night. The parking fee is not mentioned in the hostel description. There is no bathroom sink or toilet in the double bed room.

Liked: The place is very friendly and the public areas are very modern and clean , travellers from all ages and countries mixing together

Disliked: Our room -404 was clean and very comfortable beds but nowhere to hang or put anything ,the bathrooms could have been kept a little cleaner

Liked: Staff were friendly and very efficient, people in the hostel were great too! I also like the location a lot, it's not in the Loop but still close by to the CTA Brown line, which is always convenient for travelling around. Many shops on nearby Clark St, which is great for getting necessities like groceries or some basic electronics.

Liked: - Super-helpful staff! You will be surprised! And they're available 24hr a day - Location is in walking distance to a CTA hub with 3different train lines intersecting, running 24/7. Just buy an unlimited CTA pass and you're good to go to wherever in the city from the hostel

Liked: An outstanding hostel with helpful staff and great facilities - you do get what you pay for. It's in a lovely area of Chicago.

Liked: All the staff were incredibly helpful. We had a particularly great expiereince with Vincent. In addition to being friendly, he gave us written driections to get where we needed to go, gave tips on getting cheap L and bus passes, and remembered us every time we went to the desk to ask a question.

Disliked: Generally, the hostel was very clean, but there were a few stains on the walls of our room.

Liked: Located in a great neighbourhood (Lincoln Park) not too far from Downtown. I wasn't there a lot during my stay, but it seemed to have a great atmosphere for such a large hostel.

Liked: everything was good. Free breakfast, daily activities, and even FRi. Sat. Hotdog BBQ!!!

Disliked: You could hear the doors closing in your room. It always sounded like they were slamming shut. Other then that nothing else to complain about.
