Disliked: Not restrooms in common areas, not phone signal in most of the hostel.

Liked: The staff was really friendly. The breakfast which is great. The BBQ events. The facilities : laundry, games, tv room, piano, printer...

Disliked: This is a big hostel, with a lot of people. So, this is harder to meet people than in a little hostel. This hostel is a great choice if you travel in a group.

Liked: Excellent fun hostel, very clean, modern and safe.

Disliked: Bathroom floor was constantly wet nearly slipped on it several times, had to walk in bathroom with extreme caution.

Liked: Good kitchen and common areas

Disliked: shower cubicle flooors were dirty there was supposed to be a 10pm curfew on the out door patio but noise would often continue until midday night. main air con unit for the hostel is very noisey. The hostel does not offer the 'style and comfort of a boutique hotel'. For the same price per night in San Francisco I had an en suite. The room at Getaway was also next to dorm rooms and as a result was noisey

Liked: The hostel was really nice and clean, we arrived at 5 am but we still got our room even though it was 10 hours earlier than check in time. It takes about 15 min to get into downtown Chicago with bus. We didn't have time to spend at the hostel because we only had 2 days to see the city. But it seemed like it would be a fun place to meet other young people, and there was always a lot going on.

Disliked: Our room was really cold, but we just asked for an extra blanket. The second night we were woken up by drunk people knocking on our door and making noise in the hallway. So you have to be aware that it's hostel with young people partying.

Liked: AWESOME ! THEY HAVE REALLY NICE FACILITIES, STAFFS ARE VERY KIND TO TOURIST. IT WAS THE BEST HOSTEL WHICH I 'VE BEEN.

Disliked: NO SCREEN OF WINDOW, BUT... ACTUALLY IT DOESN'T MATTER..

Liked: Free BBQ! Very nice neighborhood.

Disliked: The cleaners swipe the floors, but don't collect the hairs. That makes it a bit dirty in some places..

Liked: This hostel spills value. It was very clean, the staff very polite and for the price the location is more than reasonable for the price. If you're staying in Chicago, this is a perfect place to stay. Oh and the staff were extremely nice.

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We really liked the fact that a great breakfast was included and there was a barbecue on the two nights we stayed. Overall the hostel is clean, bright and in a good location. Thank you for our stay.

Liked: Staff were really warm, helpful and friendly. Hostel common area is very spacious and a great place to chill and get to know people. Bathroom is clean and even has a hairdryer for the ladies. Breakfast was good too. All in all this place is lovely. One of the best hostels I have stayed at.

Liked: Great staff, really nice and clean place. Computers are provided. Location great, just off the center, walkable to.

Liked: Located in a nice area. Kingston Mines, the blues bar is just a few steps away.

Disliked: If you want to lock the locker, you need your own lock, or you have to buy one. Some of the staff were a bit grumpy. Nothing bad though...

Liked: Close to metro station so easy access to city.

Disliked: The room was far too hot and even after turning off the (very noisy) radiator, it would not go off completely.

Disliked: No shampoo or soap, dorm style bathrooms, no tv in the room.

Disliked: Rooms not ventilated well enough, smelled like hell in the dorm when me and the guys woke up in the morning.
