Liked: nice and helpful staff, clean environment, nice neighborhood, great location!

Disliked: only very basic furniture creates cold atmosphere in rooms

Liked: The area made it easy to get around. Lots of local bars and places to eat. Also the zoo is a stone's throw away.

Disliked: I've stayed before and prefer the old layout. It has a very clinical feel now. But overall an excellent hostel.

Liked: Really cool hostel The décor and atmosphere are really great. Free wifi. Lockers in rooms. Free hotdog & burger night. Good clean kitchen. Staff really helpful. Bars & shops nearby. Easy to get the train to downtown.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Excellent common areas. Everything clean, good choice at breakfast and excellent kitchen facilities. Good links to public transport. We had small netbooks to use because all of their computers were full.

Disliked: Nit enough electrical outlets in the bedrooms, actually couldn't see any, but definitely not a good enough reason not to stay here!

Disliked: Steps on the way in....a ramp would be more suitable for roller-suitcases, which most travelers seemed to have

Liked: Kitchen and lounge area very clean and modern staff helpful at all times.

Disliked: Shared bathrooms were overcrowded hence sometimes not very clean.

Liked: The staff were great as were the shared lobby facilities. Very modern and pretty great crowd/atmosphere. Luke the guy who took us cycling was great. Leafy pleasant neighborhood that is close to the free zoo/beach.

Disliked: It was a little far from the cbd but the train ride out was pretty easy to get to. And oh, we were located on the other wing right away from the bathroom so it was a one to two minute trek to use the toilet/showers each time. The room which was a twin share was kind of barebones.

Liked: The staff is very friendly and there are lots of interesting stuff proposed to the guests especially at night. The breakfast is very nice, and the rooms as well as the hallways are very well decorated.

Disliked: Given the price of the stay, the shared bathrooms could be a little better than just a shower and a plastic chair (sometimes there's not even a chair) to put your clothes on.

Liked: it was economical and the location of the property convient, to where i had to travel!

Disliked: its in a residential neighborhood where there's no convienent parking!

Liked: Great location with a helpful staff in the heart of Chicago. Free wi-fi and the all access cable was nice. It was a very nice place to relax after a long day of travel. Close proximity to the metro and CTA, as well.

Disliked: Price was a little bit high at 129 dollars a night, and the general feel of the room was not all clean. The sink was hard to turn off and the rooms were a little small.

Liked: Free breakfast was good. Free bbq that I was sad about missing. Hostel arranged events. Nice location. Not downtown but close to plenty of bars and easy bus or metro downtown.

Disliked: Lollapalooza made the rates really expensive, understandably.

Liked: The facilities were new and very clean. Good variety of rooms (TV room, game room, music room, and internet room). Breakfast was solid and staff were very friendly. Great place and by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at!

Disliked: It was a bit humid in the rooms but it is summer so understandable.

Liked: Mother and teenager son travelling together... no lots of fun normally... but we did enjoy staying at the Chicagp Getaway Hostel...too bad it was only one night!

Liked: Great location, chilled out area. Lots of space within hostel. Lovely large bathrooms in shared dorms.

Liked: Fun decor, great breakfast, comfy beds. Location was good, easy access to the lake, the L and buses downtown. Lincoln Park is a great spot to stay and explore.

Disliked: Bathrooms could use an update and more privacy. Dorm rooms would benefit from individual lights at each bunk, as other guests tended to just throw the overhead lights on at all hours.

Liked: Really pleased with our stay here. The place was really clean and well air conditioned (necessary in the heat!). We were really surprised at how good the kitchen facilities were. Overall enjoyed our stay here, the area is beautiful and safe and staff are really helpful too!

Disliked: Nothing really!

Liked: The neighbourhood is nice and quiet.

Disliked: Soundproofing is quite bad and needs to be improved, especially the room doors which are really noisy for all the floor.
