Liked: HI Chicago had just about everything I am looking for in a hostel. It was warm and cozy, clean and well maintained. Ample facilities (full kitchen, a couple of tv-rooms, wifi, free breakfast with plentiful hot coffee). The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, each with an individual light and solid looking metal locker large enough to fit my hiking pack. The other guests were quiet and respectful in the dorms, and friendly in the common areas. There is some kind of free group activity most days, which makes it easy to meet people.The location is an easy walk to most of the tourist spots and is well serviced by public transport. I started most mornings in the cute little cuban sandwich shop in the lobby that makes amazing cubano sandwiches. Criticisms are minor, the internet connection was occasionally flaky, the bathrooms could have been a little cleaner and there was a broken faucet in one of the showers, but nothing too dramatic.

Liked: a very good place. Beds comfortable, always full of new informations, nice and safe location. Couldn't ask for more. I would definatly want to come back.
