Liked: great location near shopping, site seeing and subway, free breakfast, lots of social happenings, very clean. its great for all travellers as there is something for everyone.

Disliked: no option for co-ed rooms

Liked: Located in a very convenient area in downtown, near museums and parks. There's even a machine to buy 3 or 7 day metro passes in the lobby. Rooms are clean and spacious. There's even a ping pong table, 8 ft pool table (in poor condition) and table hockey machine on the 2nd floor, FOC to all residents.

Disliked: Depending on the bed you get, the electricity socket may be located in hard-to-reach areas. Also there's only 1 restroom with 2 shower stalls + 2 toilet stalls on the entire floor.

Disliked: everyone is there to do their own thing. not a good place to meet others. especially solo travellers

Liked: Breakfast is great and many activities are organised by the hostel which is great for meeting other people in the hostel. Great location too - pretty much everything is in walking distance

Liked: There were lots of outings arranged by the hostel and lots of discounts on local attractions. Also lots of information about things to do.

Disliked: It was quite expensive and I had some problems with getting a locker.

Liked: NADA. couldnt wait to leave this place.

Disliked: Do not stay at hostelling international. These places have no character whatsoever and are just plain dull. They are noramally the size of big hotels so you dont find a very comunal feel there. Very difficult to meet people, not enough organised activities. + no alcohol allowed.

Disliked: There was a male put into our "Female Dorm' . Big, boring hostel with little atmosphere.

Liked: Absolutely everything! I cannot recommend this place enough. It is situated just off Michigan Avenue, is very clean and they organise free activities for you every day. They have an information desk that is extremely helpful and has everything from White Sox schedules to prices of the museums. In the bedrooms, you have a separate light above each bed (so annoying people don't come in and wake everyone up!) and loads of sockets. Really fantastic place! Definitely stay there.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing. It was great.

Disliked: It's an anonymous big place, lot's of people there for a cheap place, no fun to be had with the other guests.
