Liked: Right in the Loop, close to all El Trains, close to all sights. Very clean, good breakfast, free WiFi all over the place. Free storage room. Comfy beds :)

Disliked: Bit loud because of the El Trains passing right behind the window

Liked: It's a good central location it was easy to get to from the airport on the blue line train. The staff are always helpfull they have lots of volunteers that help with activities such as guided tours pub visits. There is a great health food shop called kramers on wabash around the corner they have a vegetarian cafe. Lunchtime special $6.53 a great deal. When the Chicago marathon Is on it is good location as it's near the start and finish in grant park.

Disliked: Nothing really I find the hostel a great place to stay

Liked: Big rooms with lockers, clean beds and free sheets and towels, 2$ for 20 minutes internet is O.K., free breakfast is always good, a lot of people that you can meet in the big community spaces!

Disliked: small variety of breakfast

Liked: This is a great hostel in chicago! staff very friendly, good breakfast, wonderful location and various free activities offered every day!

Disliked: the noise of the train can be annoying but we get used to it very quickely.

Liked: the room was huge. Beds and facilities very all very clean. they had locker where you could put you bags. Felt very safe. Unfortunately it is located right near the train line so you can hear the trains go past at night.

Liked: I liked the organised things most days/nights. I liked the rooms. The staff were so so helpful because I kept asking difficult questions at all hours of the day and especially one dude there at night helped a lot.

Disliked: There was a really old dude in my dorm with a walking stick and it freaked me out when I bumped into him in the dark. Also, the hostel is not 'cool' but it tries ok.

Liked: Location is awesome! Right next to the Loop. It was clean and easy to reach from the Amtrak station. What I also liked, was that everybody has his own locker in the room.

Disliked: Nothing, had a great time!

Liked: Mostly the location and the facilities. Also enjoyed very much the city tour and the discounts thet have for some of the activities to do around in Chicago.

Liked: I arrived very early. Far before check-in and the staff allowed me to check in at 6a. It was much appreciated as I was extremely tired after riding the overnight megabus. Tour guide was great too!

Liked: Amazing facilities.

Disliked: Unfortunately, patrons weren't extremely freindly and there werent many activities to partake in. Great facilities, all it needs is a better atmosphere

Liked: The bagels in the mornings were great.The staff was very helpful, the location is great.Price is very reasonable.The beds are very comfy!

Disliked: No good maps available. Not enough locker rooms. Nothing else!

Liked: Easily accessible by Chicago's efficient transit system. Clean, safe and secure as with all HI hostels. Friendly volunteers coordinating decent nights out to local bars and restaurants!

Disliked: As per usual with HI hostels, feels a bit stuffy and uptight and lacks fun atmosphere - isn't easy to socialise with other travellers due to huge size and not being allowed a drink on site despite being responsible adults!! Make your own fun or you will cry!!
