Liked: The water pressure in the showers was reasonable (but annoying when it hit the shower curtain, pushing the curtain outside of the shower to cause flooding onto the bathroom floor). The cost of the pasta dinner (free) was fair in the circumstances.

Disliked: If you enjoy using wifi, friendly staff and washing your hands with soap then this is NOT the hostel for you!Wifi didn't work most of the time we stayed and when it was finally 'fixed' it was only on a limited frequency, predominantly restricted to use by Apple devices. Even this access was restricted to the common area. No access in rooms. One cannot advertise wifi as a feature of accommodation if it's not readily available. The staff were entirely apathetic. When asked about the wifi we were met with a shrug and an offer to reset the router, but no apparent intention to follow up on the issue. Most other questions about hostel features, eg washing service (get your clothes washed for an impressive US$10!!) were also met with a complete lack of enthusiasm. The rooms are in a pretty deplorable state. The standard issue bunk bed would be fine if there was any vestige of a mattress to be found. Instead, there is an old, thin piece of foam covered in worn green plastic. Sleep was an absolute treat! I guess one thing the hostel did achieve was to encourage guests to spend as much time out and about, soaking up Boston. Finally, be aware of the 14.45% Boston 'hotel tax'. Not sure why this figure cannot be incorporated into the advertised online price. Advertising a price that doesn't include this figure is entirely misleading, even if the listing includes a separate note about tax.All in all this is one of the worst hostel stays I have ever experienced. Whatever brought you to be reading this review - budget / lack of alternatives / desperation - just avoid this place.

Liked: Free pasta meal on Tuesday was good, nice service

Disliked: The rooms are dirty and the windows do not open. Plastic mattrasses make sure you don't sleep well and the staff is not all that helpful.

Liked: staff, room, bed, breakfast

Disliked: no single bathroom, the most expensive hostel I have ever stayed in all over the world, but Boston offers not so many possibilities... for this price you even have to make your bed, bring your sheets back, pay or use an own towel and get bad/no wifi connection, slowly computer is not much better

Liked: - One of the employees was very cordial and helpful.- Linens and bathroom were clean

Disliked: - The female room is very small for the number of beds- The credit card machine was broken, and the employee required us to find another one, around 11PM, to pay for the first night- The hostel location is far from Boston downtown and does not look like very safe-Wifi in the rooms does not work well
