Liked: It was nice from the outside

Liked: Nice houses, nice facilities, its in the middle of the students neighborhood = always fun....

Disliked: Nothing really... its to say that its basically more for younger travelers... so olders might dislike it...

Liked: Bed was comfortable

Disliked: I was walked across the road to another building. The room I stayed in was unable to be locked. The bathroom, lounge etc wasn't cleaned the 4 days I was there. The rubbish bin in the kitchen was emptied once. And the place was a way out of town, sure a walk and the train were there. But if there was anything closer to Boston I would take that. This place is not value for money. No tea, coffee Towel etc just the basics, though there was a microwave and a fridge. No where to wash clothes.

Liked: The location near the bar is great. The room is large.

Disliked: It's expensive. The beds are old and need new matrasses.

Liked: Pros:+ They accepted me even after midnight so it was nice that I did not have to sleep in the street.+ When i needed something, the staff tried to help me.+ No bugs, rats etc. Clean.

Disliked: Cons: - The property does not look very nice, really. I expected a normal looking house (outside/inside) for that price. The interier looks extremely old-fashioned and quite shabby. - The price includes only towel and linen (maybe blanket if you ask for it), no breakfast or anything else (quite a lot of money I think). - In the dorms, there is no air-conditioning - and trust me, in Boston it is nearly necessity in the summer. - There is a computer with the Internet connection but for $2/30 min. (Otherwise you can use wifi but I am not sure about its accessibility in all rooms.) Other facts: - It takes about 20 minutes to get to Downtown by subway and ca 10 minutes to get to the station from the hostel. - If you did not see an Usher's house (E. A. Poe), this is a kind of place to try...

Liked: It is was fun leanving in a house, since all the students were gone. There is a lot of space and we had a small leaving room. However, it is quite far from all the attractions, the hostel should organise some activites for the people at night.

Liked: it's located in a university area so it's safe to walk around even at night. it has character, being a real house converted into an inn, with a real fireplace.

Liked: id only recommend this place to spend just one night, beds are big so u can rest properly. If u want to meet people or u ar looking for fun in a hostel then this is not the right place for this. I got there at 2.00 in the morning due to a flight delay and there was nobody in the front door to help me, i had to call the guy in charge by phone, he gave me a room but no keys so i couldnt go out to buy food or sth.

Liked: Location is really ok, 20 minutes from downtown using the subway. Nothing special to expect though: not super clean, rooms very basic, no common room to hang out and have fun; so just a place to have a bed in Boston for a decent price. Experience was ok.

Liked: I stayed in a twin room, which had little character but was pretty clean, had a closet (with no hangers) and dresser, desk, microwave and television. The garbage in the bathroom was nearly overflowing and ran out of toilet paper, but after I called down, one more roll was quickly replenished. There is no kitchen or common room. The location is a bit far from downtown, but the subway is nearby, and there are a bunch of interesting international restaurants, deli's, bakeries and grocers in the area.

Liked: The innkeeper was very helpful providing directions and suggestions for touring the city. He was as friendly as his fellow Bostonites.Pluses: Great location (near the T and bus lines; good selection of eateries; nearby convenience stores); good linens (clean sheets and nice, thick bath towels); hot bathwater as advertised.Ehhs: Saw a mouse in my room and commotion from the next (they also saw a mouse); prominent layer of dust on the floors; musty-smelling in both hostel buildings; wet/dingy bathroom. The walls are thin and you can hear all that's going on between your neighbors and the occupant down the hall. Couldn't find the remote to the t.v. Be advised to pack your own soap and toilet paper.

Liked: Had this stay been our first stay, we would have not considered to return.We were in a different building and this was not as clean, had stale ordors expect in the room. The bed was very poor with the mattress rolling to the middle and creaking evey time your moved. Due to being on the weekend it was more expensive. we were asked if we would prefer a private room and not explained that there was no cooking facilities. This is one of the reason we do hostels..This was avaiable on our first stay. When asking about this there was no solution offered.We were told that this weekend was not a full house.Thanks Gary & Loretta
