Liked: Joeseph is great, a one man operation and he has that place locked down. Always clean, nice guy and the rooms came with a t.v. and cable. Not that I need it but for what you pay to stay there its well worth it. Thanks Joeseph. I'll be back.

Liked: Joseph, the owner, was a joy to work with. It's obvious he takes pride in providing a quality facility, a warm welcome for his guests, and a respect for privacy. I would strongly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a clean, hospitable environment in a central location in Anchorage. I stayed in a private room and got more value for my money than motels and B&B's I stayed in, given the cable TV w/ HBO, comfortable and clean room, do-it-youself pancake breakfast, coffee, and a very large and well equipped kitchen. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else the next time I'm in Anchorage.

Liked: it's comfortable, even if you're in a single and it's not too far from town.

Liked: free internet, bicycles for hire, fridge and TV in double room, reasonable furniture and hanging space, obliging response to our request to change room to a more desirable room.It seems to attract quieter people, which suited us. Did not seem to be the party noisy hostel type which is what we like. More bathrooms/toilets would be appreciated......sometimes had to wait.
