Liked: The best thing was the very friendly owners, it felt like we were staying over with friends. Meals eaten with them at the hostel were excellent, and reasonably priced.

Liked: I liked too much the atmosphere of the hostel, very friendly, attention and funny. The location is very good, in a good place to take in contact with natural neighborhood. And the breakfast is the best.

Liked: The owners of this wonderful guest house really made our trip the best it could have been. First thing, they sat down with us and told us the best places to see and restaurants to eat at (that wouldn't break the bank). Some nights they even have an asado, and one of the nights we stayed they grilled a HUGE fish! It was delicious and fun to hang out with the other guests. Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at La Lomita. The hosts are friendly, totally cool, and willing to put forth a lot of effort to make sure you enjoy your stay. The breakfast was good and the overall environment there is very relaxing. You can walk to the shopping mall and supermarket which is also really nice, since a lot of hostels/hotels in P. del Este are not so conveniently located near stores that have what you need. I would definitely recommend it as a great place to base your adventures in the area from.

Liked: rodrigo and his wife are amazing hosts and bend over backwards so you have a pleasant stay. whole punta was a bit dead since it's winter, but we'll definitely be back at la lomita in summer.

Liked: We had an amazing time in Punta del Este, thanks to Rodrigo. His helpfulness went beyond what was required- rides to the beach, loaning us their bikes when the rental places were closed, great barbeque, and just a friendly place to relax. We really enjoyed being a few blocks away from "downtown" as well. The neighborhood was peaceful and we were close to the beach yet could easy ride all over the peninnsula. Great stay!

Liked: In general we liked everything and especially the owners who made you feel completely at home!!!!!!!!!!! The two barbeques by the owner were especially great, with meeting other people and his great techniques for barbequing. They go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liked: The hostel was in a great location in walking distance to the beach and the owners offer to drive you to see other beauty spots. We rented bikes and cycled around Punta Del Este and it was all in easy reach. The owners also cook a great barbeque.

Liked: Rodrigo and his family are the key to this place. A peaceful oasis in the busy resort of Punte Del Este, they will do great BBQs, take you on tours of the area, and generally create a fun and friendly atmosphere. The place is run with a lot of love and it shows. Thanks
