Managed and operated by the daughter of the owner, the hostel is named in honor of her sweet grandmother Elida Elena who once strolled these beautiful beaches as far back as the 1930’s.

The establishment can be found in the heart of Punta Del Diablo while offering it’s guest a seaside deck that overlooks the most famous beach of the region “Playa de Los Pescadores” (Fisherman’s Beach). Upon arrival guest are invited to Elida’s deck for a welcome drink at our bar and quick introduction of the culture and history of “El Diablo”.

Elida Elena offers a variety of accommodation options to be enjoyed in a family friendly atmosphere, with clean amenities, and a friendly local staff all year round. These amenities include mixed or female dorms, and private singles upon request. Three full bathrooms, private kitchen (don’t miss the last Thursday of the month plate “Elida’s Gnocchi”), Uruguayan parrilla, lockers, running hot and cold water, free wi-fi, cable television, and of course towels and linens.
