Directions

From Carrasco Airport:

-By taxi (about 25 minutes): white airport taxis from the arrivals area will charge you around 1300 pesos (~70 USD). During daytime you can also try catching a black and yellow taxi from the departures area, which charge a cheaper fare.
-By bus (about 50 minutes): take the D1 line, get off at Cerrito & B. Mitre, then walk 2 blocks (you can ask the driver to alert you when it's time to get off). On Sunday and public holidays the bus ends at Plaza Independencia, 7 blocks away. The fare is ~20 pesos (~1 USD).

From Tres Cruces Bus Terminal:

-By taxi (about 10 minutes), fare around 150 pesos (<10 USD)
-By bus: take the CA1 from outside the terminal, get off at 25 de Mayo & B. Mitre (3 blocks away). You can also take one of many other lines that say "Ciudad Vieja" "Ciudadela" or "Aduana". Get off at Cerrito & B. Mitre. The fare for CA1 is 15 pesos, and 22 pesos on other lines (<1 USD).

From Buquebus Ferry Terminal:

-This is about a 10 minute walk, so only take a taxi if you have a lot of baggage. As you exit the terminal, cross the main road and walk 1 block into the city. Now you're on Piedras. Go left until you get to number 597.
