Posada al Sur is a beautiful, clean, gorgeous hostel but in the Ciudad Viejo, which is incredibly unsafe. If you picked the hostel up and put it in another neighborhood, it would be the best hostel I have ever stayed in.

Posada al Sur is located in the heart of the Old City, historical and colonial center of Montevideo. Its location, next to the Port of Montevideo, the boulevard and the centre, makes it easy for guests to explore the city.
