A really laid back place that is good to meet other travelers. Clean rooms and bathrooms. A good breakfast with very nice bread and coffee. Good wifi internet and lots of space to lounge around in.…

This is an ideal place to relax; we offer private rooms with bathroom and balcony ; brick oven, barbeque (you can’t leave Uruguay without having tried an asado!) and a wide open wooden deck to sun bathe or enjoy Rocha’s starry sky.
Halfway between Punta del Este and Cabo Polonio, La Pedrera is one of the most famous resorts in Rocha, due to its beautiful beaches, ideal for the surf practice, and the famous erosion, that show the separation of continents 140 millions years ago. Together with the harmonious landscape, you can enjoy its great nightlife, whale watching between August and November, the International Short Film Festival in January; the Carnival parade in Febraury (the most important in the Uruguayan coast) and its Jazz Festival in Easter.
