The Hotel Bristol is in the so-called «Old Town», at 10 F.D. Roosevelt Street (formerly, Boulevard Street). Just nearby is Ignatenko Street, the first in Yalta (formerly, Elisabeth Street), a bit uphill one can see the golden cupola of St. John Chrysostom Cathedral, one of the first Orthodox churches built in Yalta after the annexation of the Crimea by Russia. A hunder feet away once stood Yalta’s first customhouse where on September 17, 1837, Emperor Nicholas I proclaimed Yalta a city. The hotel was built in the beginning of 1860s. It had been the property of Russian Royal family until the 1870s. Many outstanding Russians and Ukrainians stayed at the hotel. These days the hotel has been reconstructed and meets the European standards of the category "three stars". Its peculiarity is home comfort, convenient location, popular prices.
