TIU Chernivtsi Backpackers

The hostel is centrally located just off the mainstreet. The mainsquare is 2 minutes walking distance whilst all the other squares are located just around this area. The mainstreet is the street that connects the bus station with the train station on the opposite sides of town. So whether you come into town via bus or train, just take either the trolley bus or a taxi towards the city centre and get off at the city hall.

We are the most centrally located hostel in Chernivtsi. It is a town with 240.000 inhabitants located in western Ukraine. It is one of the cultural centre's of the area together with Lviv. Chernivtsi, also known as little Vienna, is known as an architectural highlight of Ukraine. Many buildings from the Austro-Hungarian and other era's still remain today and are in excellent shape. Chernivtsi boasts an excellent selection of museums, schools, theaters and other facilities.

Accommodation Information

In our hostel we offer a private room with a double bed and 10 dormitory beds. We take our guests around town to visit the main sites and show you where to find restaurants, shops, bars etc. We offer a relaxed atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy Ukrainian hospitality at its best. We can also help you figure out your onwards travelplans and help you buy tickets for the bus and train, and take camping trips to the mountains with barbeques there and on the side of the river Prut

Location Information

Chernivtsy has one mainstreet that runs north to south. The trainstation is in the north, the busstation in the south and the townhall (big blue building) right in the centre. The hostel is located 200 meters north of the townhall, just off the main street.
