Safranbolu Camlica Konagi

Safranbolu Çamlica Mansion is a family establishment set within a garden, with a capacity of housing 35 people with 10 bedrooms and 27 beds.

The house has 3 floors and on each floor there are 4 bedrooms. All rooms have traditional rounded windows and on each floor there is a balcony. The top floor has a terrace. Our service is based on traditional Turkish hospitality.

The owners of Safranbolu Çamlica Mansion are Celal and his wife Havva Özen. We share our home, the Safranbolu Çamlica Mansion with our guests. Here is a place where one can enjoy the beauty of the seasons every day of the year.

Especially in the spring time it is an absolute pleasure to walk underneath the pine trees, to have breakfast in the garden, to enjoy your afternoon tea or coffee and to take in the abundant peace and quiet.

Here you will find the life, love, peace and warm conversation of the Anatolian people and your opportunity to be a part of it. We may not be able to provide you with the luxury of a Five Star Hotel but you can be sure that we will do our very best to ensure that you are comfortable and content. For example we do not have a gym but we have paths in the forest where you can walk in safety, take photographs and enjoy the scent of oreganos.

We do not have open buffet breakfast but we will provide you with a rich home made breakfast with regional specialty pastries, natural village cheese, stuffed vine leaves, eggs and home made jams made by Havva from fruits picked from our own garden. With this breakfast you can start your day with a boost of positive energy and continue to fill yourself up with the wonderful energy of life with the clean and oxygen rich air of the forest.

If you like you can relax in the terrace amid the songs of the nightingales, enjoy the experience of eating the fruits you yourself have just picked from the trees or have a barbeque in the garden.

Accommodation Information

Çamlica Mansion is a three storey building. It has a total of 10 bedrooms, 2 lounge rooms, open terrace and a garden. The largest room the can house five people.

1st floor: Entrance is through the garden and is independent from the rest of the house. Perfect for those seeking extra privacy. It has 4 bedrooms with the capacity to house 2, 3, 4 and 5 people.

2nd floor: Entry from the main door with stairs leading up to the third floor. It has 2 bed rooms and 2 lounge rooms. Being smaller, these rooms have the capacity of housing 2 people.

3rd floor: Has 4 bed rooms and an open terrace. These rooms have the capacity to house 2, 3, 4 and 5 people.

Furthermore each floor has a separate bathroom and toilet for common use. Central heating, 24 hour hot water and wireless internet are also available for our guests’ enjoyment.

Location Information

There are services from the Safranbolu Bus Terminal that go to the centre of Kiranköy, from the centre catch the Baglar minibus and get off at Degirmenbasi. From there it is an 800 meter walk to Safranbolu Çamlica Mansion.

These days transport to Safranbolu is done mainly by road. Although not as common, it is also possible to get to Karabük city centre by rail and then catch a minibus to Safranbolu. It is not possible to get to Safranbolu by air or by sea.

When coming from Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir you will need to go via Gerede, and when coming from other regions the Zonguldak-Yenice-Safranbolu, Bartin-Ulus-Safranbolu, Kastamonu-Araç-Safranbolu and Çankiri-Çerkes-Safranbolu roads are used.
