About Taksim Sofa Hostel
If you are young and interested in being close to entertainment, art, shopping and all the other goodies a multicultural city has to offer, you will most likely find yourself choosing the hub, Taksim. In recent years guide books have mentioned Taksim, Beyoglu and Nevizade in the same breath as nightlife, entertainment, architecture....trendy...hinting that the main attractions have changed and the people of Istanbul have shifted their preferences to these areas. We are right in the middle of it.
Travelers, students and tourists have always complained that they have never been able to meet real Turkish people meanwhile Turkish people have complained they hardly ever meet visitors to this city. That is changing as Sofa Hotel is thought to be the one cosy place where other cultures can meet and where people of the world can meet their future Turkish friends.
To get the smell of the real character of Istanbul, Sofa Hostel offers the opportunity to stay in the close proximity of the famous pedestrian and old fashioned tramway street Istiklal Caddesi, a whole host of public transport including buses, mini-buses, the metro system, the tram, the shuttle buses to the two airports in Istanbul and, of course, a plethora of taxis. These can take you all over the city to wherever you want to go.

We provide airport transfers to and from both Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports in Istanbul, travel help and information for travellers, help with booking events such as live concerts, football matches, the famous Whirling Dervishes, shows, cinema programmes, exhibitions and more.
