Liked: you can read about the awesomness of the facilities from others. i am writing to let you know how awesome the staff is. they know english better than anyone else i came across in turkey (seriously), and they were ridiculously helpful with any questions i had - moreso than i would have expected of most. i will be back in istanbul in a couple weeks (my flight back is from there too) and i will definitely stay at the same hostel

Liked: This place is awesome - you should stay here if you come to Istanbul. GREAT locaiton - close to all tourist sites and places to eat. Very clean and secure - each person has their own locker. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfast with great views. Free internet. COuldn't ask for more - the best hostel I've stayed at.

Liked: Brand new and super clean. Great location but in a secondary street so very quiet compared to just a street above. Very friendly staff with helpful advice. I had a very nice stay and can only recommend this hostel!

Liked: Perfect location literally minutes from the main sights, yet in a calm street. Nice rooftop sitting area/lounge with a terrace. Clean bathrooms and really comfy and stable beds, you don't know about your top bed neighbour! Big personal lockers, which helps keep the rooms tidy too. The bigger dorms are in a basement, which may get a bit stuffy. The only thing though i would seriously recommend for improvement would be separating the reception area from the rooms on the groundfloor at least with a curtain - voices echo really strong, which is unpleasant if you're trying to sleep. Otherwise the place is rather on a quiet side, which i appreciated. All in all, one of the nicest hostels i've ever stayed at.

Liked: I've never elected to write a review before but I wanted to for this place- it really was fantastic. The amenities are great, the bathrooms are not only clean but really nice, the location was perfect (right by the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the tram), rooms were comfy and the general atmosphere was very friendly and laid back. The staff in particular were impressive and really nice. Look for Volkan or Cem up at the front desk (someone is always there) for help with any questions or good recommendations. Oh, and the daily breakfast buffet made the good deal a great one. Little chocolate brownies included each morning too- loved this place!

Liked: One of the best hostels I've stayed in - highly recommended. Staff all spoke english and were very helpful. The rooms and bathroom was very clean (bathrooms cleaned daily), and beds were comfy. Amazing rooftop breakfast and chill-out room with superb views. Manager is a really nice guy - ask about tours at reception, you can usualy get them cheaper through hostel.

Liked: Very pleased although would be great if they had a dimmer light in the dorm for the late night arrivals or late nighters. The bright light turned on at 3am was uninviting and abrubtly woke me.

Liked: Pretty much EVERYTHING! Location is unbeatable, 24h-staff is super friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are clean and the lockers are great. The rooftop terrace is lovely, there's free wifi with laptops and complimentary breakfast. Easily one of the top hostels I've stayed at! Oh, and there's a man who sells tremendous kebabs for 5 TL just around the corner.

Liked: Very good location, great staff, good breakfast....good value overall. There was one staff member who kept watching his movies on his laptop and wasn't that willing in helping people though. But everybody else was great! A wonderful time overall!!!

Liked: I cannot say enough good things about Agora! Most importantly the staff is incredible. They're helpful, nice and so fun to talk with. Everything was very clean, the bathrooms were nice (great showers) and the rooms were well kept. The breakfast on the roof was delicious and the perfect way to start the day. I could go on and on...moral of the story, Agroa is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul!

Liked: LOVED Agora Guesthouse!! Best hostel I've ever stayed in by far. The staff was so so nice and helpful, the facilities were SO nice (literally bathrooms nicer than I have at home), the rooftop deck with a view of the Bosphorus was beautifullll. There was a buffet breakfast which was better than any breakfast I would get staying at a "nice" hotel, and my friends and I met some really cool people our age staying there. Don't listen to any negative ratings of this hostel, this is THE hostel to stay in in Istanbul.

Liked: Perfect location. Very close to the main sightseeings and in a nice area, but very calm street. Very warm and friendly welcome, as well as the airport transfer, the staff was always helpfull and joyfull. Nice ans clean room (Deluxe), good beds and nice bathroom with very peacefull and warm shower. Howesome top floor with free internet laptops, big tv screen, books, and for the breakfast. The breakfast was at a good level on the hostels rate: chocolate and local cheese cakes, fresh bread, tea, cofee, fruit juices,... We'd love the terrace with view on the Bosphorus, just perfect to enjoy the sunlights of the morning. I would definitely recommand it for all those reasons and also for the very good price rate! Agora really helped to spend a great stay in Istanbul, who's really a great place to discover! We didn't expect a city with so many advantages and good vibes!

Liked: It was very well located - literally only steps away from the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sofia. Cem and Mustapha were REMARKABLY helpful and kind and made it a comfortable and inviting place to stay. I would go just to hang out with them again. Only one request: hair-dryers for the hostel bathrooms as well. This small detail would have made it the perfect place to stay. In addition, beds were very comfortable and clean.
