Liked: Second stay. Very nice and cozy hostel with a friendly staff. Excellent breakfast that you can enjoy in its terrace with sea views. Perfect location, 5 minutes to Hagia Sophia.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Great roof terrace - eating breakfast looking out over the Bosphorus is an excellent way to start the day. The hostel is also really well located for looking round the historic part of town - many of the sights are only 5-10 minutes.

Disliked: I stayed in the cheapest room offered (the one advertised simply as 'dorm'). This was a ten bed dorm, but I think what sets it apart from the marginally more expensive rooms advertised as 'dorm (10 beds)' is that they're in the basement level. Whilst limited natural light wasn't really a problem - the common room upstairs means there's not much need to sit in your room - it was very stuffy. One small air con unit and a fan isn't really enough to ventilate the room, so I'd suggest paying the ~€1 extra for a room upstairs. Also - and this is a really minor point - real juice rather than squash at breakfast would have been nice!

Liked: Location, breakfast, the room, good shower, very nice place to stay.

Disliked: The lights at the bathroom have a very short time on. They have presence sensor and we need to keep moving all the time to have them on, otherwise you will be in pitch dark in few seconds and some receptionists need to improve their customer service skills.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast and great rooftop terrace.

Disliked: No laundry (that I spotted anyway). Dorms never seemed to be locked. Staff were happy, however, to put valuables in safe at reception.

Liked: Really really delicious and fresh breakfast! Fresh fruit, bread, fresh made jams, hams, cheeses, olives, cakes etc. amazing. Staff were great and really helpful. So informative and always willing to help at any time (even if you are checked out). Rooftop is STUNNING the view is just amazing and it was so nice to just chill up there with a beer or tea after a hectic day out in istanbul. Rooms were so big and spacious and the beds were sooo comfortable! And the shower heads were HUGE I had one of the best showers of my life not even kidding haha

Disliked: not a huge amount of nightlife in this area.. lots of hotels around and plenty of old people and restaurants. Taksim only a tram ride away and way better for going out

Liked: great staff. really clean and tıdy wıth plenty of facılıtes for the roomy dorm rooms. Great breakfast and rooftop area overlookıng the Phosporous was the best.

Disliked: no where to leave a few thıngs ın one small bag I wanted to store as we were goıng on a month long walk so could purchase anythıng much ın ıstanbul and store ıt at hostel.

Liked: So much to love about this Hostel, the location first of all. The view from the upstairs bar is better than you could find from a hundred other bars in the area making it tempting to just stay in the hostel after trapsing the city. The Staff who are friendly, welcoming and really helpful and give you plenty of information on the city, free internet and Wifi. Special meantion has to go to the breakfast which is without doubt the best Hostel breakfast that I have ever come across and I've been around.

Liked: Staff were extremely polite and helpful, the guy who does the tours helped me plan my trip and didn't try to sell me anything unlike most of the other tour places. Toilets and showers were extremely clean and the free breakfast is awesome! Nice place to stay and I would go back again.

Disliked: Nothing really springs to mind, the terrace bar was a bit quiet at night time but that's not their fault.

Liked: Great showers and bathroom facilities. Roof terrace was great to look out over the river. Staff were very very friendly and equally as helpful. Dorms were very spacious.Would recommend to anyone!

Liked: Great view from the bar arean and rooftop terrace. I stayed in the 10 bed dorm and there was still heaps of space. Big lockers so you ca fit your whole backpack in there. Staff were very frendly and helpful. Really close to all the main touristy sights. Showers and toilets were good. Really, it was more like a hotel. Good breakfast.

Disliked: Bar and rooftop area close at 12. Not sure if this was a dislike, but it is not a party hostel at all...you can still meet plently of other travellers.

Liked: -very friendly, kind and funny staff. for Japanese ppl, there's a Japanese staff as well. -guidebooks available -staff will help you plan your trip to cities outside Istanbul if required. -very clean rooms, bathroom and showers -beatiful balcony with nice views -close from the main sightseeing attractions

Disliked: -nothing much! just to let you know, the lights turns on and off automatically in corridors and bathrooms, so it might turn off while you're in the shower (but it will turn on again if you move). and, if you're staying in a dorm, it might be better if you brought eye shade with you so that lights wouldnt disturb you when someone in your dorm comes in while you're sleeping.

Liked: The double room ensuite sea view was clean and quite spacious. The bathroom was clean as well. The rooftop terrace is a good place for hanging out and has a beautiful view of istanbul. The staff is very friendly and helpfull especially Orhan the guy who take care mostly everything. The location is also great, walking distance to blue mosque. Me and my mom really enjoy staying here. would reccommend this to anyone!!

Liked: The rooftop bar was great, bar was cheap and atmosphere friendly and relaxed. Staff very friendly and helpful!

Disliked: We weren't given a key to our room therefore it was open all the time, however individual lockers under the beds made up for this and there was someone on reception at all times.

Liked: It was kept spotless throughout our stay! The staff were brilliant (expect a bit of good natured banter!!)... loved the roof top bar! Rooms were a good size, air con in rooms (though you need to ask them to turn it on), awesome breakfast...

Disliked: Only one 'negative' - on our first night some people arrived late and the reception staff opened our door to put their baggage in the room, then left it open as the talked to the new comers. Then they brought them into the room and kept talking to them - it was late and we had had a long day! Other than that, we couldn't fault them!!

Liked: Great atmosphere. Very clean bathrooms and rooms. Nice common area to chill and a very generous breakfast. Very helpful staff and excellent location.

Disliked: No lockers except at reception.

Liked: I arrived at Agora GuestHouse and I felt ımmediatly at home. The staff was so friendly and funny but they took everything seriously when it concerned our comfort. They offer a sooo delicious breakfast with an amazing view on the city. The place is clean and secure, you do not have to worry if you are a woman travlling alone, as I was. They will inform you about anything in Istanbul and even book something for you.

Disliked: I do not remember anything bad about this place. Honestly.
