Liked: Common places (bathroom, toilets) are modern, clean and in good state. Hot water is available in all times. Very close to main tourist attractions and historical monuments.

Disliked: First of all, on the floor in dormitory room there are a lot of ants so your bags will be with insects after the night. Beds have only one sheet and blanket without blanket cover or any additional sheet. Breakfast is very limited.

Liked: Clean, hot and reasonably strong shower, helpful staff except for one person (see below). There were numerous problems (see below), but each time we asked for something, we were given reasonable satisfaction, and the hostel was very cheap, so you get what you paid for.

Disliked: 1) The first night, the heater had not been switched on in our room, so we got quite cold. It was OK the other nights though. 2) The sheets were too small for the mattresses, so we had to ask for new ones and manage our bed with three of them. 3) We had to insist to get enough blankets. 4) Two light bulbs were initially missing in our room. 5) Bad smell from the plumbing in the bathroom. 6) We had to use the hotel screwdriver to fix a window. 7) We had to ask for the evacuation of the shower to be cleaned. 8) The bathroom furniture, in particular mirrors, were in a very poor state. 9) But all these tiny problems were finally fixed a way or another. Not the bigger problem though, that is a totally unwelcoming maid/waitress: each time we asked for a perfectly legitimate thing, she made you feel that she was utterly bored by having to deal with your requests. At breakfast, she was monopolizing the only two joined tables and the remote in order to watch her favorite soaps, and may have even turned up the volume when people were speaking too loudly to her taste. As she was not speaking a word of English, it was impossible to discuss these problems with her, or even to begin to understand why she was so poor at her job (maybe she had very good reasons).

Disliked: too hot in the room, hard to sleep, late night conversations from the lobby are heard in the room.

Liked: Amazing location, very central, more central would mean to sleep in the mosque. Very good value for the money, also breakfast and staff was helpful and kind. Not a noisy location, totally recommend !

Disliked: Everything was perfect, taking into account value/price ratio.

Liked: The staff were incredibly helpful and easy to contact by email and replied quickly, which was great. The breakfast was pretty good, though no water available - you could only have tea or coffee which wasn't great. The location was the main thing to recommend it, it really is in the heart of the old town and perfect for experiencing Istanbul. The free internet was a plus.

Disliked: The heating in the dormitory was seriously high, and the number of beds crammed into such a narrow space made it quite claustrophobic. Also, the common area was just the entrance lobby and nothing else so much too small for more than four people to hang out in ever.

Liked: Its a nice and a cosy hostel. Very close to the heart of the city. Loved every bit of it. Would love to come to istanbul and stay in the same hostel.

Disliked: I think the worst problem about the hostel was the instruction for the direction from the airport. Only direction from the attaturk airport was given, but from sabiha airport nothing was mentioned and it was a very big hassel to reach to the hostel with public transport.

Liked: Staff all v nice, varying fom dead decent to charming. The dorm accom, provided you do not expect a lot of space was fine, and I will miss my Istanbullu breakfasts on the top floor caboose a lot. Showers fine. Location exactly what I would have wished.

Disliked: Nothing- in terms of the cost it wld be ridiculous to find fault.

Liked: They are so helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Sometimes, bathroom is dirty. But totally this hostel is relatively clean. After they revised their service, I cannot rend their linen.

Liked: The location is unbeatable! It's close to everything, and the street it's located in is also clean! We liked the shower, it worked properly, which is not guaranteed in all hostels in Istanbul! The room was spacey as well! The best thing is the possibility to cook upstairs, and to use the fridge! That's really great! Internet is also free! The stuff is very friendly, especially the gentleman during the day! He brought us coffee to our room! Amazing gesture!!! Will definetly return!!!!

Disliked: The room cleaning service was a desaster! The girl, that is doing it has no motivation to do anything! When we asked her for some toilette paper, she appeared to be angry. She doesn't clean the room properly as well. She always left out the bathroom! The heating system had some problems at the beginning, but when fixed, everything was fine!

Liked: Location was excellent, right in the centre of Istanbul. Ideal for travellers on a tight budget.

Disliked: The rooms were rather small and uncomfortable, plus there is no fan in the bathroom so everything gets damp. Breakfast isn't great. But the price is super cheap.

Disliked: The average age of a person staying here was like 46. About 15 beds. I'm not sure if that was regular but it was not ideal

Liked: Free breakfast. Good location to the Blue Mosque, Spice Markets etc. Free wifi

Disliked: The staff turned off the air conditioner during the night - I'm guessing to be cheap. But it was hot at night and the a/c should have remained on - when I asked why he turned it off he said someone had requested it off which was a straight out lie - they did it both night we were there. Very frustrating.

Liked: The hotel people are friendly and helpful. Although it is very basic, it is more or less clean. The location however is very convenient.

Disliked: the bed was broken and after repeated request, they never fixed it or gave us an alternate room. The A/C was leaking and it made the floor wet.

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful ! Unlike staff of other turkish hostels, the staff of Eurasia hostel treated us with the same attitude from beginning to the end, not smiling only when we paid. Air conditioning also works well, which is essential in summer. We would like to stay there if we visit Istanbul again.
