Liked: I really enjoyed eating dinner all together and meeting people from all over the world. Also the location and staff are excellent.

Liked: The property was so clean and comfy. the rooms were warm all the time that I was there even though it was freezing out side. The free dinner was the best thing that I experience in this hostel. The stuff are so friendly and helpful. They took us to the club and scort us in the way back. I felt so secure in Istanbul. They recommend the besta and cheap restaurants and shopping centers. the servie inhere was more that I paid for the room. i could not believe that.

Disliked: The entrance of the Hostel does not show any thing.

Liked: The location is great! The beds and the bedroom's facilities were ok.

Disliked: I spent three nights there and the girls dorm ran out of toilet paper twice. It was necessary that we went to the reception adn asked for it. The room was never cleaned during this time, neither the thrash was taken outside. The kitchen was a little crowded all the time and people smoke there all the time.

Liked: Greatest hostel experience yet. Staff was amazing, and friendly from the time we entered the doors! I would recommend this hostel over the others if you are trying to get the true experience of hostels and of Istanbul!

Liked: Good location, on a main street next to the tram tracks so easily walkable throughout the old town. Far from Taksim Square however really close to Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar.

Disliked: No toilet paper, didn't take a shower the whole time i was there as did not look clean at all, 12 people in one room was too crowded and didn't have space to go through luggage, would be really hot at night and then get really cold but couldn't really control the temperature, only one friendly receptionist (the others were creepy and made inappropriate remarks to us), didn't know where the common room was if there was one, no lock on the door and no real door to the hostel either so anybody could technically walk off the street inside

Liked: Good location, friendly travellers, other than the boss the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Breakfast was NOT included, despite what they advertise their price including. The boss was curt and rude in response to being questioned about this false advertising.

Liked: Just as described. Breakfast and dinner was good and indeed free (however, you may have to ask the staff to make breakfast/dinner if you are there during the off-season). Location was perfect - unless you see yourself traveling to Taksim Square often, then it could be annoying (only a 1.5 hour walk/ 10-15 TRY taxi). Lockers and key included in each room. Staff was also incredibly helpful and nice (but may have to track them down if you are there in the offseason). Biggest bonus was that it was so cheap yet got free food and towel/locker, etc!

Disliked: Some of my clothes went missing/stolen. Just make sure you take good care of your things and don't leave them lying on the floor! No idea who took my stuff, so I can't put blame on anyone.

Liked: great location, convenient to station and main attractions. Ihsan (staff member) was the life of the party, very helpful and accomodating, cooked supper every night .... and gave the place a fun atmosphere. there is a lift and the dorms are spacious.

Disliked: lots of lightbulbs need replacing and toilet paper was always running out and not topped up.

Liked: It has a very homely atmosphere; the staff was very accommodating and friendly; it is conveniently located near the tram station; fastfood places, souvenir shops, and important places of interests---you only have to walk. Most importantly, your belongings are safe and secure when you're out. It offers free breakfast and pasta for dinner. I'ts just like a home-away-from home.

Liked: The staff there is supersupernice. They helped us with everything possıble. Ishan is a really awesome person, both social and very helpful and will always make your stay there extraordinary (and longer than you had planned). He likes to entertain the guests and is so much more than a receptıonist. The rest of the staff is really really great too. The terrace was lovely, the pasta dinners tasty and lots of musicsharing and talks made the hostel experience something extra! It was sad leaving because it feels like a second home and we want to come back again of course. Thanks so much for everything, we wıll probably stop by this week to say hello!from Karin and İngrıd.

Liked: the dinner and breakfast included, the size of the dorm rooms was very large and spacious.

Disliked: the rooms were not cleaned daily, the staff smoked inside reception, it was terribly noisy with partying and music until 2am every night, the showers always overflowed, the breakfast/cleaning lady was always late in making breakfast and was quite rude, the breakfast was minimal. a very budget hostel.

Liked: An awsome staff. Very easy to get along with no issuse here. awsome place to hang your hat. property needs work but very easy to look past cause the service was very friendly.Free meals also, and on a tight budget it works very well with my traveling, leaves more more to party with, travel, or see sites....

Disliked: window would not stay closed in our room. but they were looking at fixing this the next day.

Liked: I loved the atmosphere of the Harmony hostel, there is a 24 hour reception with friendly and helpful staff! The rooftop terrace is a fantastic area to chill with a few beers after a productive day sightseeing! The location is perfect - a ten minute walk away from all the main sites, the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Cisterns and the Topkapi Palace! Anything else is only a short tram ride away, and with two tram stops down the road you can't go wrong! Free breakfast and dinner included in the price is fantastic value and a variety of pasta toppings were available when we went for the week, not just the 'basic pasta and tomato sauce' described to us in some of the reviews! I would certainly stay here again, Harmony Hostel made the experience in Istanbul much more enjoyable!

Disliked: The bathrooms were a little bit dirty, and could do with a regular clean, but still livable!

Liked: The roof terrace overlooking the Hagia Sophia on one side and the Bosphorus on the other.

Liked: The rooftop terrace was a beautiful surprise about this hostel, and the location is amazing - close to the tram, between all the major tourist destinations and just a quick walk away from street markets for amazing food. Ihsan Aslan is a member of the staff who you don't want to miss meeting - my brother stayed at this hostel for a week and Ihsan treated him like his own brother, which was so nice to see. I would highly recommend this hostel just for the relaxed atmosphere and location, along with the helpful and friendly staff.

Liked: Ihsan aslan is an incredible staff member who went entirely out of his way to make my stay in Istanbul memorable - I left with a real friend. The location of the hostel is amazing and the beautiful rooftop terrace makes a great environment to meet and socialize with fellow travellers while enjoying cay, food, or a game of backgammon. I stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute.

Liked: nıce location cheap and good if not looking for confort and long nights

Disliked: The dorm was very noisy due to young people partying the hostel and entering in the room switching lights on and talking and shouting loudly until 2/3 am. no proper common space except the rooftop that gets easily crowded when ıt s raining.

Liked: good location and staff very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. my special thanks to Mr Ihsan for the lovely pasta he cooked for us in the evening. also for all the help and kindness shown to us. I really enjoyed my stay.
