Liked: The location was excellent. And the rooftop bar is a great touch, a welcome respite from the hustling city.

Disliked: We stayed in the top room which unfortunately is right beneath the bar so it is very very noisy until 2/3am. The bathrooms were a bit too dirty for my liking and the mattresses on the beds very uncomfortable. Also, the linen did not look clean.

Liked: great rooftop, great staff, great location

Disliked: all dorms have aircondition, but one is not working atm, i slept well in it, but it might be difficult if it is hotter and dorms near the rooftop might be noisy from the music being played on the rooftop bedsheets were not very good at all

Liked: Superb location.

Disliked: Dırty and small room, had to put backpacks underneath the back, whıch turned white due to all the dust. shared toilet was very dirty too. Looks like no cleaning was done for a long time.

Disliked: There was no aırcon ın the room on the fırst nıght - ınternet dıdnt work on the fırst nıght - no 'complımentary drınk' on arrıval - one day they decıded not to have lunch because they had 'already made pasta the day before'

Liked: This was a great hostel.There was an amazing hot shower, clean everything, and a very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hostel. I really couldn't have asked for anything more. I would certainly stay here again!

Liked: Full of character and great fun. You won\'t want to leave their roof patio in the evenings. We have enjoyed very much our stay at old city hostel We have met a lot of lovley people in his beautiful terrace with very good music at night.The feel of the place and socialness of the staff made it the most fun, and I loved the rooftop patio with food, a bar, nargile (hookah) and lots of big pillows to sit on The hostel is very closer to interesting tourist sites and transports; and the staff is very kind and lovely. We spent 7 nights there, and if we come back someday at Istanbul, we will surely return at this hostel. Thanks for all !

Liked: The dorm rooms are not great, really cramped. No space to leave things at all. Have had better dorms elsewhere. If you do want to stay here, just book at hostelbookers, it's otherwise 10 euros per night if you book it here.

Liked: The staff were nice and extremely accommodating. Free internet. Clean. Value for money. Centre of Istanbul and close to the major tourist sites. Highly recommended.

Liked: The atmosphere is incredible, the people - both those working there and those sleeping there - made for one of the best hostel stays I've had in a long time. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful and cool, and I felt very safe - especially after I forgot a bunch of my valuables in the lobby in the morning and returned to find them untouched eight hours later. From the hostel's rooftop bar/hangout there is an excellent view of the Blue Mosque, which sets the perfect mood to save a few pints and stories with your fellow travelers. At only 10 euros per night, this is great value for an awesome stay.
