Liked: we stayed other hostels in istanbul but this one the best hostel so far,awesome roof with alot of fun and good beer and best music,staff is very helpfull and knowledge,location is the best best best..we will come back for sure!!!

Liked: The location was excellent, convenient walking to most of the historic sites in the Old City and 2 minutes to the tram should you wish a longer journey to the Asia side. Our front door faced the adjacent sidewalk cafe where the waiters were very welcoming whether you needed a hot cup of tea or just directions to a site.

Liked: Extremely helpful staff and a good location in Sultanahmet too. Would have liked to have had a plug in the bathoom sink though, as this made shaving harder than need be!

Liked: Nice Rooftop bar and the friendly staff! Also you cant get a much better location than this hostel, next to or minutes walk from Istanbul's main sights

Liked: Awesome Hostel... Antonio the is owner is very friendly and so is the rest of the staff. Rooms are nice and clean ( beds could have better sheeting) but all in all this is a great place for the price. Les from Canada

Liked: Ok location, ok price. On the negative side, seems that some of the employees or their friends) seem to be a little bit too eager to hang around with girl travelers traveling without companion, if you know what I mean.

Liked: We loved our stay at Old City Hostel! They came to pick us up from the airport with own car and waited even though we were almost 2 hour late! They were very helpful with everything and served us the most amazing breakfast the next morning. Room is clean and tidy . Great place!

Liked: The rooftop terrace is a great place to hang out. Wifi is always a plus everywhere in hostel. Breakfast is good too, a boiled egg, bread, tomatoes, olives, salami and cucumber slices. hot water and Air/co working perfect..thank you ...

Liked: This is the best hostel so far I stayed. The staff are excellent and very friendly. I would strongly recommend you to stay there. My special thanks to Gokhan( owner of the hostel) and All the staff for their hospitality and affection. Thank you to the hostel world to give me the oppertunity to introduce me to the best hostel.

Liked: We had some great nights at the roof top bar. Partying while watching the Blue Mosque. There were many people from all over the world we met and will meet there again some time.

Liked: I liked that there was air conditioning and free internet. I did not like that there weren't top sheets and that there was only 1 bathroom for 10 people.

Liked: Nice place to stay, 10 minutes walk from Istanbul Sirkeci station and 2 minutes from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and Topkapi Palace. Staff was very helpful, especially the girl who made us breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was nice and had a broader manu than most other hostels. Pubs, cafes, and restaurants in immediate vicinity. Air-conditioning was nice, especially in August when I visited. Free internet / wi-fi access. Clean bathrooms. Only negative is that he 10-bed dorm looked like a little too cramped for space.

Liked: Good points were the location, the breakfast was perfect, the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable and a very pretty hostel.and also fantastic roof top bar ..try to barbeque there ..antonio is the best kebap man ...:))

Liked: Honestly I stayed in other hostels in istanbul but this one is so nice place to stay and to have fun and to meet other travelers at the rooftop bar.cheap beer and super view from the blue mosque.most importand thing is the aircondation in the rooms..thanks for everything and we will come back soon ;)

Liked: it was awesome place!!we had alots of fun at the roof top bar,Good music good food and BBQ and water pipe was wonderful..staff are very helpful,,best best best location..cant wait to go back to oldcity hostel..thanks to antonio stew and breakfast lady maria,,she made our day fantastic!!!

Liked: It is quite a small hostel so has a really nice homely feel, we knew all the staff and met most of the guests. The staff were really helpful, even finding us other accomodation In turkey at discounted prices. They also have nightly entertainment which is great

Liked: The hostel is like Istanbul by itself: Exciting, friendly and in the middle of the happening. But most remarkable is the owner Gokhan: He's such loveable, helpfull and warmhearted. I just can highly recommend this place.

Liked: super friendly hostel very clean and comfortable rooms.free internet with several computers with high speed(8mbit)...roof top bar was amazing with cheap beer and free waterpipe...highly recommended!!!
