Liked: The staff are excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Felt like at home. The hostel is not too good in terms of bed, linen etc, but the bathroom and toilet are great.

Disliked: They don't provide towel

Liked: We stayed in Antique Hotel for 4 nights. I would say it is pretty decent place for bag packing and the location of the hostel is a added advantage as most of the significan attractions in Istanbul are at walking distance from the Hostel. The Breakfast was ok. People are very friendly and they can help you with the first hand information about the city. Over all experience was good and I would recommend this place for those who are looking for a decent budget place in Istanbul.

Liked: friendly staff, nice view from roof

Disliked: bathrooms had some mold in the shower; food was only average at the cafe, no proper fitted sheets - we had to ask for an extra sheet so that the bare mattress was covered, pillow case was stained also.

Liked: Very near to the main sights in the old town, roof terrace was lovely and breakfast was varried and good.

Disliked: No cooking facilities for hostel guests. However was able to eat at guesthouse and lots of local restaurants.

Liked: Really unique and good hostel. The "rooftop terrace" was great! The rooms were nice and clean. And the breakfast... awesome!

Disliked: The hostel itself was good. But some of the staff members were sometimes a bit... intrusive.

Liked: Friendly and very kind staff, fantastic view on the sea from the bar, where the breakfast is served up. There is cleanness room, the air conditioner works. Onto a couple of steps from Hagia Sophia in a quiet little street. The free parking solved. Recommended!

Liked: Location is absolutely fabulous. Placed in Sultanahmed, the most interesting and vivid part of Istanbul, with a really nice view to the sea, Antique still manages to be a quiet and relaxing place to sleep/ rest your tired backpacker's feet within the noisy touristic center.

Disliked: I didn't really dislike anything particularly. Even though I stayed for 5 nights in a 6 beds dorm, I could sleep. Maybe the fact that prices of the food (I would also have liked to see more turkish dishes in the menu) and drinks on the terrace are higher than in the city could be not so pleasant for a budget traveller. On the whole, this did not disturb my pleasant staying there.

Liked: location great, a/c, breakfast included. wifi generally good but did cut out a few times.

Disliked: shower in room bad drainage so ended up in a pool of water which took 5min to drain.

Liked: I thought the best thing about the antique hostel was the staff. They actually want to help you get the most out of your stay. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, they made me feel at home immediately. Can't recommend this place enough!

Liked: We actually ended up here twice while in Turkey because travel plans changed. Both times were excellent. Beds were comfy for dorm rooms, location was excellent, and the staff was really helpful with recommendations.

Liked: the location. the person at the reception during the morning was quite helpful. the night guy came across as trying to sell their own services, rather than genuine tips. e.g. kept pushing us to eat at their restaurant, discouraged the ferry ride as opposed to the cruise (which cost about 50 times that of the ferry)

Disliked: breakfast could include a bit more variety. insufficient lighting in the dorm..

Liked: Location, nice rooms. If you book a double room, insist on getting a "normal" bath, otherwise you end up with a kind of Turkish/Balkan style shower (i.e. shower head, no cabin, tiny, with toilet). Whoever has travelled the Balkans, will understand what I'm talking about. Since I wasn't travelling alone, I cannot really say if the hostel is a fun place to meet other people. I guess so in summer, since they have a nice bar upstairs with a roof-top terrace.

Disliked: The noise from the terrace. I happened to have a room just underneath, and the walls were conveying every single sound, so I'm guessing that in summer time, if you want to get a good rest, earplugs are a must, since the bar might be opened until late. Also, in the morning, once preps for breakfast start, you may be wide awake... This is for the double rooms.

Liked: Very friendly staff and fellow travelers. It had a relaxed atmosphere but great if you wanted to meet other folks as well. VERY clean and safe.
