Liked: Very good hostel. They offer very wide choice of dishes for free breakfast, you can buy cheap and tasty dinner as well. I was first in doubt when they sent me to the room in pavement and I saw the tallest bed ever, but bed was comfortable, room safe and clean, same all bathrooms. Location of hostel is incredible - you walk out and you are between Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque!

Disliked: I put lower rating for atmosphere. They have got good equipped common room, but it was empty all the time apart of breakfast, so there was no chance to meet other travellers. Maybe it's happen because they have got nearly all rooms occupied by group of friends and they preferred to hang out somewhere else. Internet access was slow, but I could use theirs computers instead which was better.

Liked: Great breakfast, great view from the roof top balcony, rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. Towel for free, WIFI, two computers. Great location.

Disliked: I stayed in the dorms. The dorms are located in the basement so the ventilation was bad. My room faced the street, and although it wasn't `t a major street it was very noisy. The basement was stinky, the rooms are situated next to the bathrooms and toilets, that maybe convenient, but the smell in from the toilets was horrible and always dump. My dorms were literally Antique, but not in a good way. My room was tiny and crowded, not big enough for 6 people. Don`t stay in a 6 beds dorm.

Liked: Good location, nice and warm. Great view from terrace.

Disliked: Our room had a strange smell which seemed to come from the bathroom. This was a private double on the 1st floor. After airing out, room seemed better.

Liked: Fantastic rooftop view of the Bosphorus, very comfy, homey atmosphere. Staff was fairly formal and helpful. Accommodations in our room and the bathrooms adjacent were pretty good, bedding clean. Breakfast was filling and good, good Turkish tea with sugar cubes offered! :) Perfect location, couldn't have gotten any better as were were on foot on our trip, we could easily walk to the Blue Mosque, across the Galata Bridge, to the Galata Tower, to the Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and the Spice Bazaar, and we did! Really enjoyed out stay and felt safe, if you use the lockers bring a padlock, not a tiny luggage lock as they won't work for the locker style. The upstairs with a view was our favorite place to be! Very enjoyable!

Disliked: Wasn't clear whether certain things such as juice/soft drinks were offered for free at meals, and later we were charged...however, this is a minor thing and they zoo remedied the situation with a clear sign over the drinks :)

Liked: The location was unbeatable - just around the corner from the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, and a nice park with a beautiful fountain. The two terraces on the roof, one covered and one open, were way cool with a million-dollar view of the Bosphorous Strait. And the staff are just great!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Location great, liked the roof terrace but not many used it.

Disliked: There wasn't a common room apart from the roof terrace for people to hang out. The roof terrace sold food and drink so you felt obliged to buy it.

Liked: Comfy beds, aircon was v. good (a bit too good!), nice showers / loos with hairdryers and a communal area outside where you could chat without having to go up to the roof-top terrace. Great central location, but still quiet.

Disliked: Felt a bit "detached" and like a hotel, rather than a hostel. Possibly because as a city centre location, a lot of people are there for a very short period of time....

Liked: Mo- staff member was extremely helpful in assisting us with our further travel plans. He spoke excellent English and was genuinely concerned that we were confortable. Rooftop bar is great, but a bit over priced.

Disliked: We had a snorer in our room- but this was not their fault!

Liked: Great location with highly knowledged staff. Most of the sights are walking distance and the view from the top floor was excellent during breakfast. Recommended.

Liked: The terrace had a great view and it was a nice bar, though nobody seemed to go there short breakfast. Overall a pretty nice place, not exceptional but not bad either.

Disliked: They didn't read my reservation properly and I had to change rooms the 3rd night because they only booked me for two days.

Liked: It is centrally located making it easy to visit the main attractions. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. It is open 24 hours but quite secure.

Disliked: My bed had seen better days. I got 2 good nights sleep out of it but I had to avoid some pokey bits. I was not convinced the breakfast preparation was up to standards. It was hard to find a butter packet that didn't have a dark yellow surface on the contents when opened. I found myself doing a dish and utensil check every time I took one.

Liked: The staff are excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Felt like at home. The hostel is not too good in terms of bed, linen etc, but the bathroom and toilet are great.

Liked: We stayed in Antique Hotel for 4 nights. I would say it is pretty decent place for bag packing and the location of the hostel is a added advantage as most of the significan attractions in Istanbul are at walking distance from the Hostel. The Breakfast was ok. People are very friendly and they can help you with the first hand information about the city. Over all experience was good and I would recommend this place for those who are looking for a decent budget place in Istanbul.

Disliked: bathrooms had some mold in the shower; food was only average at the cafe, no proper fitted sheets - we had to ask for an extra sheet so that the bare mattress was covered, pillow case was stained also.

Liked: Very near to the main sights in the old town, roof terrace was lovely and breakfast was varried and good.

Disliked: No cooking facilities for hostel guests. However was able to eat at guesthouse and lots of local restaurants.

Liked: Really unique and good hostel. The "rooftop terrace" was great! The rooms were nice and clean. And the breakfast... awesome!

Disliked: The hostel itself was good. But some of the staff members were sometimes a bit... intrusive.

Liked: Friendly and very kind staff, fantastic view on the sea from the bar, where the breakfast is served up. There is cleanness room, the air conditioner works. Onto a couple of steps from Hagia Sophia in a quiet little street. The free parking solved. Recommended!

Liked: Location is absolutely fabulous. Placed in Sultanahmed, the most interesting and vivid part of Istanbul, with a really nice view to the sea, Antique still manages to be a quiet and relaxing place to sleep/ rest your tired backpacker's feet within the noisy touristic center.

Disliked: I didn't really dislike anything particularly. Even though I stayed for 5 nights in a 6 beds dorm, I could sleep. Maybe the fact that prices of the food (I would also have liked to see more turkish dishes in the menu) and drinks on the terrace are higher than in the city could be not so pleasant for a budget traveller. On the whole, this did not disturb my pleasant staying there.
