Chai OoiThey provide free baggage service even after you've checked out. We have to wait for 5 hours to catch the train to Bucharest and had no place to go, and they were really good that they offer us to have a drink and chill at their rooftop ( place where breakfast is served). Its really highly recommended for travellers that have to catch late night trains to somewhere ;p |

Daniela AndradeSecond Home was very easy to find taking the metro/tram from the airport. It is located in reasonably calm street a few meters from the Gulhane tram stop. It is a safe area to walk around at night and very well placed to make a pit stop during the day! The staffs are always prompt to help you with information and they are responsible for creating a very friendly atmosphere among people. The terrace -- where you find available computers free of charge(!), a printer and a common kitchen --is also the place to have pleasant conversations and make friends. The place was sufficiently heated; breakfast up to noon is a plus and the shower is excellent! If you have any physical difficulty with stairs, then you might consider other place, otherwise, Second Home is the place to stay! Don’t think twice! Cheers! |

Customer reviewIt's a very good hostel in every aspect, but what is REALLY exceptionally is the staff. I'd rate 15 out of 10 if I could .. very friendly, helpful, spent their time with us way over what their job requires and provided a lot of helpful insights into Turkish culture and the city. |

Kiran JagpalStaff were really friendly and helpful; while we were there they hosted a dinner party which was a really nice, relaxed way of getting to know everyone in the hospital. Breakfast was wholesome and the rooms were well looked after. Great location too. |

Customer reviewWe enjoyed our first 2 nights there that when we returned to Istanbul we stayed there again for another 5 nights. The property is very clean, with a welcomingg and multi-lingual staff. They made every efort to accomodate any request. The breakfast on the rooftop was excellent with a view of the city. It also had 2 computers available and wireless in your room. I would recommend this to others and plan to stay there again when I return. |

Customer reviewlocation was great and very close to historical places and transportations like tramway, steamboat, busses, trains, etc... there were very friendly and helpful staff meets you and gives you whatever you need including nice friendship :) it fits with your budget and has very comfortable and clean rooms. don't think twice and book now :) it's like your own home, not second :P IN ISTANBUL YOU CAN'T FIND A PLACE SAFER***, CHEAPER AND MORE COMFORTABLE THAN THERE!!! SECOND HOME HOSTEL FOREWER!!! |

Th?s t?me I came back by myself and I could meet people to go out w?th , to v?s?t the c?ty. We went to the As?an c?ty th?s was great. You can always get t?p where to go and how to go there by the owner.(Can) He ?s really fr?endly.We found th?s place very clean and cosy. |

Customer reviewThe free shuttle back to the airport was good. But they first offered the shuttle service to us for a price of 30 euros, and only gave us the free service when we said we were entitled to it from the hostelbookers website. But if you can convince them to keep their word, it is good value. But there were significant downsides: the hostel was very dirty and badly kept up. The foul-smelling toilet had no working light, so you had to navigate in the dark. Linen consisted of a bottom bedsheet and pillow only. When we asked for a blanket, we were given a small, dirty blanket to cover the two of us. I had to go to bed with lots of clothes on to keep warm, and felt uncomfortable using such a dirty blanket. It was the worst condition of any hostel I have stayed in - which is amazing considering that we have recently travelled through India on a tight budget. |

Zhen TanVery good location, great view from the top floor. Bathroom and showers are very clean and well kept. Excellent overall services with fun and friendly staff. They went out of their ways to get me a deal for turkish bath, sophi dance tickets and even a hooka pipe! Highly recommended!! |

Customer review+ very clean and new facilities + free internet + small kitchen available - we asked for bus tickets and they were so nice to book them for us immediately and we payed them 60TL per person. Strange enough we didn't get a ticket but they said it's allright. At the otogar they were a bit astonished but finally we got an official ticket. The price on it was 40TL. Hmm... |
