Liked: We loved our stay at the SecondHome Hostel. I really made our stay in Istanbul complete. It was so clean and the location could not have been better. The staff were excellent and we definitely felt very safe and comfortable here. Breakfast was great also :-)

Liked: I liked, overall, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and, of course, the shower!

Disliked: It doesn't have a lift, but it is not that terrible!

Liked: - The breakfast room is on the top floor of the building, with windows all around. This gives you a beautiful birds eye very of the buildings below and the harbor a short distance away. - In the evenings or on rainy days, the breakfast room, which is fitted with a large screen plasma TV, was used as a movie room. We got to watch "Salt" and some other movies :)- It is also located in the middle of the tourist are, making it easy to see a lot of attractions and restaurants- I also liked the fact that it was easy to travel to and from the property. It was easy to catch trams and taxis

Disliked: The rooms were a bit too small and some nights it was hard to sleep with an open window, as the traffic (in the street below) was bit noisy

Liked: The location is great, only 2 minutes by walk from Hadzia Sofia. The staff is very friendly and they offer free transfer to Attaturk airport with mini-bus.

Liked: It was really clean, and the staff were extremely helpful when we asked them questions. They also helped us to further book our trip around Turkey. The free interent was also a bonus. Location was great, as it was just off a main road, really close to the Blue Mosque area.

Liked: Nice dorm accommodation, with nice bathroom, though being in the basement... Nice location with a good breakfast at the top of the building. Recomended! ;)

Liked: Excellent accommodation. Location was great, close to everything in the old town. Near a little restaurant strip that has good food at a reasonable price. We stayed in the new private rooms a very short distance from the hostel (less than 100m) and they were excellent, brand new and squeaky clean. Very helpful staff. Breakfast included was basic, yet sufficient. Highly recommend.

Disliked: Unfortunately there was no aircon in the private room which made it hard to sleep when its 40C outside

Liked: The location was simply great....most sites are within easy reach and within walking distance and you feel safe to walk around alone at any time of day.

Disliked: The only thing that affected me was that I was in a twin room (bunk beds) and only had one wall fan to share between the two.....it was boiling hot and sweaty and could barely sleep at night with the frustration.
