Liked: Great location and great staff (especially John, who made us feel very welcome). The location was very central to what we wanted to do and see. Very intimate and a great place to meet people.

Disliked: There was quite a bit of dust in the room which was quite small. It lacked places to put your clothes missing a dustbin in the room but other than that it was good.

Liked: Great location and the staff were awesome! The location is perfect for checking out the tourist sites (Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc.), and is also conveniently located near the Metro so you can jump on and head over to Taksim Square.

Disliked: If you´re looking for a quiet place to stay, this probably wouldn´t be for you...there´s a busy road in front of the buildıng with a lot of horns and yelling fairly early in the morning. We did have some ants in our room, but it wasn´t anything worth complaining about.

Liked: Overall the stay was very good! The staff is absolutely awesome, the breakfast is really good and the hostel is clean.

Disliked: The location is very convenient BUT the hostel is located in a street with a lot of traffic and because the windows are very thin, there was quite a lot of noise in the room.

Liked: The lobby and breakfast area are always populated, making it easy to meet other travelers. The staff is very helpful and hot tea is always avaılable. The bathrooms and dorm were clean and the location ıs central to everything in Sultanhamet (Bazaar, Topkapı, Blue Mosque, etc all within 10 mins by foot) Also close to the tramvay so it is easy to fınd and an easy location to take a cab to.

Disliked: The dorm room is not locked, nor is the luggage storage, but your bedside has a lockable drawer and there is 24 hour staff.

Liked: Great place, very friendly and friendly staff. Rooms and Bathrooms are very clean and properly equipped.

Disliked: Breakfast was very basic; but more food was served on request.

Liked: Great staff, hearty breakfast, easy to meet guests, location is great - close to highlights of ancient Istanbul, CLEAN hostel and facilities. Free Wifi! Easy-going and very accommodating staff, concerned about how we liked things, and what we wanted!

Disliked: COLD basement 9-bed dorm has no lockers, one shower and toilet for 9 people, one electric heater to warm up damp, cold room. It was the COLDEST night I'd ever tried to sleep since we've been traveling for 8 months. More loaner umbrellas would have been good. Umph - steep stairs, no elevator for luggage.

Liked: Very friendly. Offered free tea a couple of times in my two days as I was sitting and using the wifi. Easy to find. Good to have a dorm just for women.

Disliked: Did not take credit cards. I guess I did not check into that on the website but was surprised to have to use my cash.

Disliked: Disturbed sleep in room next door to bathroom (door bangs each time someone uses it).

Liked: Good location, good service

Disliked: If you have to leave early, like 7am, there is no chance of getting a breakfast. People travel in the morning and there should be at least a cup of coffee/tea and bread to spread by oneself.

Liked: Everything is fantastic. The owner and the staff are an advert for Turkey - helpful and friendly. The dorm room downstairs is clean and the beds are comfortable - there is no AC but we were there in the middle of summer and its still not too hot down there. The lounge at the top of the stairs has a big TV and is a good place for chilling out. Everything you came to Istanbul to see is a 5 minute walk away. Fully recommended.

Disliked: I can't imagine how anyone could have anything bad to say about this place.

Liked: The guy at reception was very nice and helpful and speaks several languages (turkish, french, english, spanish and maybe some others). The hostel is organised on 5 storeys, with a large common room on the last floor with a nice view on the city. Up there are 2 computers on free access, a kitchen, books a very large TV and large sofas to rest. Breakfast is good and served until 11.30am ! :) Very central : close to the cruise starts (Galata Bridge), the European side and the old city. A really practical place to meet people and spend a nice time !

Disliked: The street where the hostel is is a bit gloomy. No elevator for 5 storeys.

Liked: It had a homely atmosphere about it and it was close to a lot of the attractions of Old Istanbul. The staff /owners were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the 'Guests Dinner' that the hosts prepared and served to their guests.

Disliked: No lift.

Liked: Property was in easy reach of every thing we wanted to do staff very friendly and very polite, the room was nice and clean plenty of hot water for showering and the heating was most welcome could not fault this property would definatley return. Steven Day

Liked: Very convenıent locatıon ın the Sultanahmet area, great value for money and just what you want to have a comfortable stay whılst travellıng round a cıty. Frıendly staff and good showers! Tram stop ıs at the end of the road whıch we also found very useful.

Disliked: Not that much

Liked: It was in the area of Sultanahmet and there was easy access to all sightseeing. I liked when we took our breakfast on the upper(fifth floor) floor and we had a very good view!

Disliked: THere was no elevator.
