Overview

The Byzantium Hotel is a modern and stylishly designed boutique hotel oasis with a warm welcome and attentive service in the heart of the oldcity. Whether enjoying a peaceful and relaxing stay in one of the contemporary and highly comfortable bedrooms...

We are located in the heart of Istanbul’s old town Sultanahmet and The Byzantium Hotel equipped with spa and health facilities to ensure that you have a relaxing holiday and rich cultural experience. We provide full recreational services for our guests. You can relax in the spa facilities and experience rejuvenating treatments and holistic body experiences. We have a lovely terrace, where you can dine and enjoy a stunning view of the Marmara Sea, Bosphorus Blue Mosque and St. Sophia Museum. The Byzantium Hotel has a classical appeal and fits elegantly into the old town’s rich cultural heritage. We are in a kilometer radius of the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Saint Sophia, Archaeological Museum and Topkapi Palace. Enjoy an enchanting holiday in Old Istanbul, with hotel facilities that are tailored for your immediate relaxation.
The Byzantium Hotel is located on Akbiyik Street within walking distance of such historical and major city sights as St. Sophia (Aya Sophia/Hagia Sophia), The Blue (Sultanhamet) Mosque, The Cistern Basilica (Yerebatan Cistern), Topkapi Palace, The Grand Bazaar (Kapalicarsi) and Misir Carsisi. Once described as the Way of Kings, Akbiyik Street is an ancient road used by empirical leaders as a route into the Old City and its palaces, divides the historical peninsula down the middle and leads guests directly from the hotel into the heart of Sultanahmet.

Istanbul is the only city in the world that lies between two continents. The old town provides a unique setting, as it is on the European side, with only a few hundred metres to the coast overlooking Asia Minor. You can enjoy an immediate surrounding of rich architecture, a skyline of mosques and minarets surrounded by coastal waters.

You can also cross the continental bridge to the new city, where Galata Tower for example provides great views from the top. Dolmabahce Palace and the vibrant Istiklal streets are also some of the new city’s main appeals.
