Customer reviewVery clean and secure. Beds are very comfortable, and both the room and the bathroom are spacious. The staff here are very friendly & helpful. Laundry is a bit expensive (8 TL per kilo) but they can do it quickly and they do a good job of cleaning the clothes. Breakfasts were fantastic and plentiful - very enjoyable to have breakfast on the rooftop patio! Would highly recommend this place to other travellers and we would certainly return! |

Customer reviewBrand new accommodation, with very nice feel. Staff were very helpful. However finding it was difficult as directions were poor. Hotel is located away from the tourist streets which is actually quite nice. |

Bronwyn DavisVery friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, and a lovely breakfast. We were at the front of the hotel but didn't have any problems with noise. The windows are double glazed so it was pretty quiet. |

PETER MONDAYAway from the main tourist streets in working classTurkish area. But within walking distance (up hill) of main Sultanamet sites. Numerous places to eat at a variety of prices nearby. The area felt safe to walk at night. Good views of Marmara Sea from rooftop terrace. |

carolyn atkinsonThe Saruhan Hotel was a lovely place to stay. It is situated in a residential area so away from the tourist trap but it's within walking distance of the Sultanahmet and the local area has interesting historic sites near by. The hotel is newly renovated but nicely done and it was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly but discrete and really helpful. The manager was knowledgable and gave time to helping sort any problems and the other staff were also friendly and helpful. We'd like to give a special mention to Ebru welcomed us on our arrival and who spent time helping us find our way around Istanbul. We had a great holiday in Istanbul and the hotel was no small part of this. Many thanks to the staff. |

Douglas Kelaherthis is THE place to stay in istanbul. located in a quiet neighbourhood near the sea, easy walk to blue mosque etc but feels like youre staying in a local village... perfect after a day of sightseeing with all the tour groups! would stay there just for the location, but hotel also brilliant - beautiful rooms with marble floors/wooden carved roof/big nice bathroom, breakfast (homemade jam as well as everything else) on the roof looking over the sea, wonderful friendly staff with lots of information on things to do. cheaper food in area than in sultanahmet anad much less touristy so better value for eating. would definately stay there again. only comment would be take earplugs or request a room away from the street if you are a light sleeper as some noise from train/sports grounds in front rooms, wasnt a problem for us though |

Frieder MokinskiHelpful Staff, nice rooms. Drawbacks: you need to reveal the security code of your credit card to the administration such that they can charge you one night if you do not show up. Why is it not possible to do that through a secured platform like the one available on hostelbookers? |
