Liked: The location was great but the I see stuff mistakenly had added his address on hostelbookers.com and he cause to wander us for half an hour.

Disliked: as I described above, He should change his new address on the hostelbookers.com

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay in the top-floor apartment, "The Mice". The location couldn't be more perfect, walk 5 minutes up the street and you're on Istiklal, with shopping, restaurants and bars, Taksim square, the metro station, Galeta tower, or the funicular, or 5 minutes down the street and you're at Istanbul Modern and the tramway, which goes straight to Sultanhamet and all the sites. There's a taxi stand on the corner, markets nearby. The apartment was cute and had everything you'd need. Taner was so friendly and welcoming and explained everything very well, ready to help with anything. We fell in love with Istanbul and will definitely go back, and would definitely stay in the same place.

Liked: This is such a lovely place to stay! We originally booked a double room but there was a problem with double booking so we got upgraded to one of the appartements for a very good price. We stayed in THE SQUIRREL appartement which was just lovely, decorated with a lot of love and detail. Also, it was nice to stay in an actual appartment - it really makes you feel at home. The staff is very helpful and nice, location is great (just a short walk from the main street and not far from Galata tower. Great place!!

Disliked: The address and name of the hostel has changed and it took us some time to find the new location. It is now called "La Casa di Maria Pia" and located on Yeni carsi caddesi 37 -beyoglu (just arround the corner of the old location).

Liked: feels like a home

Disliked: That a pick up from the airport was organised and then failed to show at the correct time, then insisted i still pay saying it was my fault, until proven otherwise through previous emails. Tried to change the check out time also, until being challenged based on previous email information also.

Liked: Great location in Beyoglu. Loved the privacy and the space afforded by our flat, and staff were friendly and helpful. Plan to stay there again.

Disliked: It was freezing in Istanbul when we were there and the heater wasn't quite up to it. Not a year round problem obviously.

Liked: We booked a single bedroom and were upgraded to the double bedroom. Great flat - we booked 2 nights and ended up staying 10!! Fully stocked kitchen, comfy lounge and bedroom, private and secure, and our hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. All you could wish for in a home away from home. Would definitely stay here again.

Disliked: The shower head didn't stay on the wall so we had to hold it, and the washing machine wasn't working, but our hosts kindly did all our washing for us.

Liked: location is perfect, very near the fun active area of istanbul, yet in a street with reasonable passage and noise. (not perfectly quiet though)

Disliked: no collective area, ackward moments with turkish speaking people knocking at my window for reasons I never understood just because it is ground floor... (it's just for that 1 room I guess !)

Liked: I stayed in the studio and it was very comfortable and homely. I worked half the day using the desk and wifi connection and then went out in the afternoon and evening. The location is great.

Disliked: There are no communal areas, inside or out, so don't expect to meet other guests.

Liked: Being a former resident of Istanbul, for me it is quite easy to see that La Casa di Maria Pia is one of the best accommodations that you can find for your touristic visits. Located very close to Istiklal Caddesi -the heart of Istanbul- these tastily decorated little appartments offer you the feeling of being at home combined with availability of everything you may need within walking distance and easy transportation to almost everywhere that you would like to go. Staff are also quite hospitable and they help you with their best in case you run into any problems – this is definitely a place I would recommend. On a second thought – please don’t go there so in case I would like to stay there again it will not be fully booked :)

Liked: Had a fantastic stay at La Casa di Maria Pia and can't wait to return to our little 'Mice House'. Marco was full of great suggestions and the area was just amazing. So central and safe and easy to get to all parts of this wonderful city. Our main reason for our visit was to attend the Formula 1 and although we could get there in 40 minutes in the morning, it took a little longer to get home in the evenings! Will certainly recommend to all our friends and thank you Marco for providing a 'home from home'.

Liked: A beautiful location in the heart of Istanbul. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fully equipped apartment which was furnished with a lot of love to details. Who visits the town and wants to feel like someone who lives there is at the right place. We enjoyed to stay at the mice-apartment, which is very comfortable and big enough for two people. Liked: This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed. The apartment really felt like a home away from home. We couldn't recommend it enough to be honest. Marco & the guys were so nice, without being intrusive. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

Liked: This is a really nice place to stay. Very friendly owner. I really like were it is located - in the center of Istanbul but quiet street.Our flat was on the ground floor, therefore it was a little bit dark. Anyways we can recommend definitely this location for a stay in Istanbul.

Liked: we stayed 2 nights in the 'mini flat' which is quite big actually. the flat is great!the other 2 nights we stayed in the room, which is small but includes a computer (with internet). we would recommend both of them, if u can take the appartement!!!! this place is charming, the owner is a nice guy, location is perfect...
