Liked: Location and value for money

Disliked: at night they turn off the heaters, so it was very cold during our sleeping

Liked: We had a private room, and everything was OK. The personal was very friendly and welcoming. There's something like a guest hall near the registration desk, and it's very comfortable to stay, relax, have a chat or just serf the internet.

Disliked: Coffee at the guest hall bar was quite expensive - 2,5€

Liked: Cheap and in a very central location. Great value for money and the staff is friendly - will definitely recommend to my friend visiting Istanbul!

Disliked: No lockers in rooms but other than that, everything was great!

Liked: Easy to find and close to main attractions (walking distance). Quite clean and warm showers. From airport cheapest way to get there is by subway and then tram (thanks for good instructions on the website).

Disliked: Luggage room was not locked but at least it had a sign "under a surveillance". Though, everything went fine :)

Liked: Booked a large dorm, was changed to a smaller one and didn't have any roommates

Disliked: staff unfriendly and doesn't have time to answer any questions, even when there is no one else around

Liked: The loccation is very good.

Liked: Close to all the major attractions. Easy enough to get from the airport using metro and tram. The tram is pretty much right outside which was good to go to other areas in the city.

Disliked: Nothing in particular. was just a hostel though, nothing special.

Liked: clean in a good location the common room is nice and it has an air condition and a bar,lockers with a cheap price 1 TL per day , a few steps from the tram stations and all the attractions in the historical area,all of the stuff speak english.

Disliked: they close the kitchen early

Liked: Airport transfer available and good central location.

Disliked: Unsociable atmosphere, had to pay to play the games in common room, uncomfortable wifi area, couldn't cook own food so had to eat out for every meal, too hot in bedrooms to get a pleasant nights sleep, no cutlery available to guests.

Liked: Staff are really helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is nice. Sheets are clean.

Disliked: Toilets and showers are dirty. Rooms are humble and old.

Liked: The location it was perfect!! Right in the centre near all of the main tourist attractions. Also the hostel has a tourist information office in the building and the guy there was really helpful, he gave us a map, highlighted key sites and gave us directions. The lobby area was really smart and air conditioned.

Disliked: The guy on reception was really disinterested and unhelpful, the room was not air conditioned, there were only 2 computers and one was broken, the WIFI signal was non-existent in our room, my bed had bed bugs and they had a really stupid key system which meant the room was very unsecure but to put valuables in a safe box cost extra. The key system was that you did not get your own key to your room instead there was one key and the last person to leave the room had to hand it in to reception this mean the room was often unlocked and could be accessed by a number of people at any given time.

Liked: It's close to a tram station and the grand bazaar. You could also walk about 10-15 minutes to Blue mosque and Hagia sophia. There are many supermarkets nearby the hostel.

Disliked: The safety was the main issue. First of all, we are forced to share the one and only room key with everyone else in the room. When we got there, there was one person left in the room, and he didn't know where the key was when he should have been the person with the key. So we were forced to leave the door unlocked. We never got to see the key for the entire duration of our stay. Also, the sheets and such were not changed when we checked in so we didn't know which beds were ours among the 8 beds that were there. If this wasn't enough, the shower was pretty awful too. Anybody can just walk into the restroom area where all the toilets and shower booths are because the door can't be locked. The individual shower booths don't have a lock, and you can't change inside the shower booth because there is no room or a hook to hang your clothes on. You are forced to hang the clothes just right outside the shower booth, which is the main restroom area with sinks. So, simply put, when you are done taking a shower, you are forced to walk out the shower booth naked while anybody can freely walk into the restroom, and, of course, the restroom door is usually flung open. However, the major turn-off was when we came back to the room and found the door locked (and of course we didn't have the key) so we went to the front desk to have it unlocked for us. Then a hostel worker grabbed the ring full of spare keys to all of the rooms in the hostel just chilling on the floor next to cleaning utensils and unlocked the door for us. We were just abhorred by how unsafe the hostel was so we decided to leave the hostel and booked a hotel room nearby. And as it turned out, the hotel room was cheaper than a private room that the hostel offered.

Disliked: notice for no water supply should be given out earlier either verbally or a note under the door and would like the staff to offer some alternatives & helps when there was no water supply at mid-night.

Liked: The charges is really cheap compare to the other hostels in the area. Its location is really strategic (walking distance to attractions like Blue Mosque, Great Bazaar etc) and it is also very near to the tram station. It also offers free wifi too.

Disliked: The beddings are not properly clean as I got bed bugs' bites all over my body after the 2 nights stay.

Liked: Everything was clean, in good shape, it was close to lots of attractions, like the Blue Mosque.

Disliked: Although there was a full kitchen, it had very little in the way of pots, pans, plates, cutlery, etc.

Liked: Cheap, good location.

Disliked: Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. There were no lockers to leave the valuable stuff. On the last day I asked to leave my bag for some hours, quite a common request in any hostel/hotel. The staff looked at me as if I was an alien, then they pointed to a closet where people left their bags. When I came back I found out that the closet wasn't closed, so anyone can go inside the hostel and steal whatever is in the closet without the people in the reception seeing it. Not a good place to stay if you have a camera, a laptop or any valuable stuff.
