emily stinnettcordial house hostel is just fine for the price you pay. it's not so much a traditional hostel but a hotel with dorm beds and a lounge downstairs where you can hang out and not feel pressured to buy anything from the bar. the hostel is really conveniently located a block away from the Cemberlitas stop. just exit the tram, cross the tram tracks and make a right down the street with all the little flags hanging overhead and the A-101 and BIM grocery stores on the way. and there is a super cheap place for dinner a few doors down from the Cemberlitas Hamam. 4TL for a HUGE bowl of your choice of 3 different types of pastas. super good! we started our Turkey travels at cordial house and ended there, as well. i would definitely stay there everytime because its cheap and comfortable. |

Customer reviewgreat location,definitely great value for money paid,and because at the end it was just for of us ,cheaper price and different rooms were offered=very flexible with customers,very basic furnished but clean,the only thing i miss were towels,my experience is very good and if i come back to istanbul,cordial house hostel would be first place i'll look for to stay |

Jovana TripkovicLocation is great, very close to everything from St. Sofia, Kapali Carsi to University, and even the direct tram line to Taxim. Staff was especially great and helpful even though we arrived in the middle of the night. They managed to help us park the car right beneath our room, and helped us with parking fees. Regarding security - i left my laptop and phone and camera in the room and everything was always in its place. Two things only bothered me - absence of the kitchen (not the dining room which is large) and no garden (and that is a direct hit coz i'm a smoker). Apart from that everything was great. |

Customer reviewIf you are simply looking for a comfortable, central place to stay, Cordial House does the job, but nothing more. The staff don't take any interest in their guests. The bar area lacks atmosphere and barely gets used by guests. drinks are expensive. This is probably because its a hostel as well as a hostel, so there is a wider age range of guests and many are not there particularly to socialise. The luggage room is not secure, although small lockers are available on request but often have luggage stacked infront of them, so access is difficult. |

Florian SchulzeEin akzeptables Hostel zum guten Preis. Der Ausblick auf die 5m entfernte Gitterwand ist nur mäßig romantisch. Die Lage ist für Touris gut, das Geräuschniveau für Istanbul ok (unser Zimmer lag zum hinterhof). Für Leute, die einfach nur ein Bett suchen insgesamt in ordnung. |

Customer reviewnice rooms, small but clean and bright. They were really quiet too which is great considering how close to everything it is. I heard one of the staff being really rude to another guest but they were always polite to me. Overall a fairly pleasant stay. |
