Liked: Fantastic stay, and well greeted at reception. I could not believe the price, ABSOLUTE BARGAIN.Keep up the good work

Liked: Cordial House has a great location. The rates are REALLY unbeatable but the services quality is perfect. When ever I had questions the staff was ready to help me and they were always smiling, which is a must in a hostel. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Liked: The atmosphere in the hostel is good.Bathrooms, bathrooms clean, large and comfortable rooms!Nice people and very good entertainment room!

Disliked: Breakfast is not included, but if you choose to buy is good!

Liked: Central location in Sultan Ahmet

Disliked: Showers and restrooms need to be repaired/renewed, they were damaged in some places. We have booked 3 nights in a double room but were moved to another hotel after the first night, because the management of the hostel overbooked the room :(

Liked: we had a private room the whole time, but it was everything we needed, really close to the tramline, comfy bed. we did a tour in turkey then came back to istanbul, we booked again for cordial because we didnt feel the need to go anywhere else really. i guess the only thing is if you're looking to go out a lot and meet other travellers etc etc it's not really in the right area for that. but for us it was fine.

Liked: Good location, good value for money. Reception open 24 hours. Fast internet available, as well as a tourist office inside the hostel.

Disliked: Carpets were moldy, staff wasn't overly friendly. Not a good place to meet people...

Liked: Very good location, quiet in the night, fair price (big difference between booking via internet (less) and what should be paid without booking on the spot (more)), clean showers and WC, traditional breakfest with delicious tea (unlimited). Turist information booth in the hostel (closed for weekend)

Disliked: bunk beds in dorms +/-, no air conditioning in rooms, no free internet, breakfest not included, chaos in organisation (we had to change room and the staff woke us up in the night while searching for somebody)

Liked: The travel guy on the 1st floor was passionate about Turkey and the sightsAverage place to stay on a budgetMeeting people is hit-or-miss....We ended up with a great group of guys

Disliked: Room wasn't cleaned in the 5 days we stayed there Room got very warm and developed a "smell"

Liked: Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms. There was a fan in my room.

Disliked: You had to ask for your towels, it isn't given. There is internet available but you have to pay 2TL/hour. The kitchen it tiny and you can't use it during the breakfact period - 7 to 12.

Liked: At first we got a large room, it was clean. Towels changed everyday. Very good location. The new guests room was great (pool, tv, kitchen) and the guy working in it was very nice.

Disliked: No breakfast. We had to pay for using Internet. Receptionnist was moody. When we asked to stay one more night they offered a very expensive price for the same room. We had to make another booking by hostelbookers to get a correct price. The second room we stayed in was smaller, shared facilities, not very clean (the floor was dirty, bad smell in the whole floor).

Liked: Was a good hostel - I was in a double room for just one night and not really there to socialise, so I don't feel qualified to assess that part, but even then met a coouple of interesting people.

Liked: I was there just one night in a private room and everything was perfect in it. Everything very clean and the matress and the room were perfect.Nice option if you are looking for a private room in Sultanamet (but not if you are in a shared room).

Liked: Close to all the major attractions in Istanbul. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to store our bags for a whole day with no charge and hang out for 4 hours after we checked out and were waiting for our bus. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows were really comfortable!

Liked: Very handy location. They don't give instructions on how to get there from Sabiha Gocken airport though! You take bus E3 from the airport to where the bus terminates at ''4 Levent''. From there you catch the subway to Taksim, then switch onto the funicular to Kabitas, then switch onto the tram to Cemberlitas. Cordial house is about 50 m from that tram stop.

Liked: We loved how close the Cordial House was to all the main sights and attractions of Istanbul. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside was that it tended to be a bit on the loud side at night, just know that the walls are pretty thin so pack earplugs (I found them a necessity throughout Turkey)
