Liked: It was next to Taksim square, so if you want to go clubbing and party this is the place to be. Other then that, didn't like the place.

Disliked: It was next to Taksim square. Good luck sleeping. also, two computers no wifi, dirty, no elevator, beds next to club so you hear lots of bass throughout night. HOWEVER, IT IS A HOSTEL! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR! I AM NOT COMPLAINING!! If you really need a place, do it. If not, look elsewhere. Unless you just want to party in Istanbul. And shop.

Liked: 1) Its located in a very levely part of the city makes it an interesting place to reside in, a litlle walk to the streets around throws you out into a massive number of moving energetic people which to me is very intruging (you never get bored) 2) The property is well constructed with large spacious rooms unlike in other hostels around. I like the stair case geometry and and floor marble finishing finishing. It feels good being on the stair case (lovely), 3) I also like the concept of the seperated wc and bath which services the rooms, this allows for multi-use at a time! Like the heigth of the ceiling so majestic with very long curtains and blind!

Disliked: Not much of problem, the loud music played by nieghbouring clubs and pups can sometimes get disturbing, though the hosteled installed double glazed insulating windows, you sometimes need to open those windows for fresh air.

Liked: It is amazing city and great hostel. I love istanbul . about hostel , location is wonderfull. It is easy to arrive anywhere. It is very clean and confortable beds. The staff seem very enjoy to help me . Every thing is excellent. I wanna to go one more time.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The beds are nice. The owner is nice. It's in a great location! I would definitely and have recommended this hostel to others and have stayed here multiple times!

Disliked: The shower head holder is broken on the second floor. It's not a big deal, but that's the only thing.

Liked: Location is the main thing, if you feel like enjoying nightlife, Taksim is much better than Sultanahmet, though you can't say the same as for touristic sites. Ahmed the owner was usually there and very pleased to help.

Disliked: Not much of a character, common room a bit small and no breakfast at all. Good value though.

Liked: We stayed twice in the hostel within the same week. The second time we got a better room than we had paid for (en suite this time); it was also cleaner, so it is possible we were especially unlucky the first time. Ahmed, the owner, made an effort to compensate us during the second time for the first one, based on which we decided to give them a 100% rating.

Disliked: The first time the room was small, uncomfortable and not very clean. The common spaces are rather dark. It gets a bit noisy because of the surrounding clubs. Value for the money was compensated for the second time, since we got a better room that had en-suite.

Liked: The showers. This would have to be the first hostel I've stayed in in Turkey that knows what a shower screen is for. Additionally the water is hot, great pressure, nice big shower head and all the jets point downward (none of those cranky old shower heads that point everywhere but). The only problem was it didn't drain very well. Apart from that, there were nice big lockers for free and only you have the key.

Disliked: Stairs! God help you if you're on the top floor. Also it's surrounded by bars with loud live music until late, so if you want sleep get earplugs!

Liked: Runs like a family unit, the owner and his son were friendly and willing to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Very helpful, hospitable and accommodating.

Disliked: The sink in the shower stall was clogged so difficult to have a decent shower.

Liked: This property is close to restaurants, cafes, and the nightlife of Taxim Street. It is also about a 15 minute walk from the tram station that takes you to the tourist spots in Istanbul. The hostel owner is friendly and happy to share stories and advice with guest. If you are skeptical about traveling to Turkey and fearful of being mugged, this hostel is a good place to stay. Mostly good for young travelers. The hostel also offers some good deals on Turkish Baths and other day trips.

Disliked: Upon entering the hostel, keep in mind that you are booking a hostel and not a 5 star hotel. Accept the small bathrooms, showers, and dark rooms- you're in Istanbul to see the sites, not chill in your room.

Disliked: no small lghts in shared dorms so good to bring a torch!

Liked: It has lockers in the rooms, no curfew, free wifi.

Disliked: Common rooms aren't pleasant, after cleaning rooms are still dirty as before, and three clubs with LOUD music are just aside of the building.

Liked: LOVED this hotel. -just up the road from the main shopping stree in Istanbul (SO busy) -amazingly helpful staff (the owner was kind of like the caterpillar off Alice in Wonderland but 10000x nicer. His son also walked us all the way to the bus station - so helpful) -beautiful rooms: we were upgraded to the private room which had velvet curtains and a pretty great view -free brekky was also wonderful !

Disliked: Not a bad word to say

Liked: The hostel was very clean, the staff immensely helpful, the atmosphere laid-back and friendly: a superb and cheap place to stay in Istanbul!

Disliked: The location wasn't so great since it takes you nearly an hour to walk to Sultanahmet where most of the sights are. The breakfast wasn't overwhelming but OK.

Liked: The owner is very friendly and adds a lot of character to the place. The private family room was a great way to combine the hostel experience with more privacy.

Disliked: The street the hostel is on is really quite loud. It's part of the charm of staying in Taksim, but it is loud enough to keep you up at night.
