Liked: We liked the atmosphere and Ahmed, the owner of the hostel.

Disliked: Some of the lamps were broken.

Liked: very friendly owner who makes you feel very welcome and helps you with all your questions

Disliked: due to the fact the hostel is in the very heart of the city and night life, it is quite noisy, especially at the weekends, but its not too bad and on the other hand you stay at the lively and nice are close to taksim square

Liked: Great place to stay when you want to party a lot - close to Taksim and Istiklal Street. Very helpful manager.

Liked: The beds were very sturdy and clean. Security was good: locks on two sets of doors and on lockers in which you could put your bags. Good shower.

Disliked: The property was a bit hard to find, especially if you're unfamiliar with Istanbul. Long, long staircase up to rooms. I was charged extra for paying in Turkish Lira instead of Euros.

Liked: Room is quite clean.

Disliked: One of the worst hostel I've ever stayed. I don't see how this hostel has been selected as the best hostel in town. 1. Management is careless and very unfriendly, and I was overcharged. 2. Rooms are very dark and noisy until 3am. 3. There is no common room to interact with other travelers or read at night. 4. There is one computer for internet, but it didn't work. 5. Don't be fooled by the fancy pictures in the web page.

Liked: I cannot wait to go back! This hostel was clean. Inexpensive. In the middle of everything. I felt safe. My belongings were safe. I was traveling alone and met three amazing people -- one of them, I imagine I will stay in touch with for many years to come. I usually do not like staying at hostels. This was a wonderful exception.

Disliked: Be sure to print a map with the hostel's location... but, more importantly, print out the written directions given on the hostel's website. Even with a map, the place can be hard to find at first. Follow the written direction on their website to the letter -- these written instructions are far more helpful than a map. The residents across the hall, who I shared a bathroom with, were slobs. Of course, this was not the staff's fault. Every morning, the place would be sparkling clean. Hopefully, you won't have slobs sharing your bathroom. Even if you do, the staff mitigates the problem very well.

Liked: The owner is awesome and very accomdating. Great location but also hidden back on a side street. Lots of character, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water at a great price.

Disliked: that we had to leave.

Liked: Excellent location, only 2 mins walk from Taksim Sq. and about 30 minutes leisurely walk to Sultanahmet. Good comfortable beds, clean linen. Rooms very clean. Good clean shower & toilet facilities. Very friendly and helpful owner. Good secure lockers in room. Would recommend very highly to anyone looking for quality budget accommodation in Istanbul.

Disliked: Couldn't really find any faults with it.

Liked: This hostel deserves a 60% rating at most. The only good aspect was the vibrant nightlife all around the area of Takism.

Disliked: It was dirty, all showerheads were broken, the bar from the pictures was closed after breakfast. ONE computer for all guests. We stayed at the Bahaus Guest House just before this and it was far superior, id highly recommend staying there, the staff treat you like family and the rooftop's amazing. This hostel deserves a 60% rating at most.

Liked: Great location, right in the center of shopping, lots of bars, restaurants, and clubs. Bathroom and shower in the room. Helpful manager. Common areas a bit messy but the rooms were clean. Close to public transportation. Good experience!

Disliked: Lots of stairs to the top floor, such is life. Since it is in the center of vibrant nightlife, you'll hear the clubs and bars til about three in the morning on weekends so bring earplugs or go out and party!

Liked: Great place to meet people in a vibrant area of Istanbul. The owner has a dry sense of humour I enjoyed, and was very willing to impart his vast local knowledge. Nice breakfast, secure (large backpack-sized lockers), clean rooms, good showers, great dorm-room banter.

Liked: The hostel is perfectly located and is really pretty inside, more like a small hotel actually. The facilities are clean, the boss is a great guy and very helpful. Even though we only paid for a 12-bed dorm, he let us stay in our own 4-bed with no extra charge.

Liked: The hostel is centrally located in Istanbul, perfect for first-timers to Turkey. It is incredibly clean, and the bathrooms are wonderful, with wonderful water pressure. In case of any sort of need, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the owner is incredibly kind.

Disliked: Zahra left no negative feedback.

Liked: The location was probably the best in the city. The owner, Ahmet, is involved in the day-to-day operation of the hostel and will do everything possible to make your stay a great one.

Disliked: Not much to dislike. Sometimes you have take extra stairs to access the secondary building.
