Very basic, but clean sheets, hot running water - OK value for money. But don't forget earplugs: there's a bar on the other side of the street with all it's talkative smokers standing outside during nighttime, and the tram is just beneath the windows.

The location is fabulous, the room was clean with a very comfortable bed and lots of hot water. Didn't expect this given it was so very cheap.

I liked the location of it, the place it self was ok for a Hostel but I want to ask the managers or owners of the Hostel : Why there is no windows in the bathroom ? If I will go to Istanbul again I'll stay there again because it was over all nice and cheap place for the area.

The location is simply perfect. Prices are really good, maybe the best in town! The staff is very friendly, though they don't really speak english. But do not expect a hotel standard with stars on it. If you do this everything will be fine!

Overall this place was an ok place to stay as the location was fantastic, right in the centre of Sultanahmet. The room wasn't that nice, and the bathroom was very dirty and covered in limescale. They turn the hotwater off in the day, so after arriving from our long overnight bus journey we had to firstly wait until noon for our room to be ready (which was understandable) but then couldn't have a hot shower until around 8pm in the evening. Which was not good when you are tired and dirty! Also a tip for the bathroom - the hot and cold taps are round the wrong way! The cold tap will give you hot water and the hot tap will give you cold water! The staff were very friendly, and spoke reasonably good english. The breakfast was poor compared to that of other hotels, buffet selection of turkish breakfast which was good as you could eat as much as you wanted if you were hungry, but the staff didn't replenish the supplies very often, so sometimes you had very little choice of what was left. Unlimited tea and coffee was good though.

The staff there didnt really speak English so we couldnt ask for any information about the city. The breakfast was ok. The furnitures in the room and the equipment in the bathroom were a bit old. and we found hair on the bed.... the best thing about this hotel was that they allowed us to check in and use the room in early morning (we arrived istanbul at 7am by the overnight bus from Cappadocia). If you travel on budget and just look for something basic (a bed and a shower), this hotel could offer everything you need, given its good location.

We had to change our booking to arrive later, but this was no problem and we weren't charged any extra. Most of the staff spoke good English and were helpful. The room was basic (which didnt matter because we were hardly in it) but it had a private bathroom and hot water and was very quiet in the day and evening even though our room overlooked the street. The breakfast was a typical turkish selection of salami, cheese, bread, olives, cucumber, tomato, jams and tea and coffee and is included in the price. Its located in the old part of Istanbul, about a 5 minute walk to the mosques and 10 minutes to Grand Bazaar, very close to a tram stop too. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again/recommend to others!

This hotel suited us (me, partner and three teenage children) perfectly. While slightly shabby it is reasonably clean and comfortable (I was particularly impressed by the clean sheets and towel provided every day). Above all, it is very well located being only two minutes walk from the tram stop at Sirkeci, ten minutes from the ferries at Eminonu, and a pleasant stroll of fifteen minutes or so up to Sultan Ahmet. For a hotel close to Sirkeci railway station and just off the tram route it was suprisingly quiet. The staff spoke a little English, which was useful, and I found them friendly and helpful. Breakfast (bread, olives, cheese, melon, tomatoe, cucumber) is included adding extra value. Just across from the hotel there is a small shop where you can buy water, cigarettes, etc, and also a pub (which seemed to be frequented mainly by locals, so absolutely no noise!). It is also just a stone's throw from streets where numerous cheap restaurants can be found. For the price I don't think you could beat this hotel, and I would certainly stay there again.
