Liked: One of the best hostel l've stayed by so far. Staff is legend and they are very friendly and helpful and always going out of their way and make sure that you are having good time. Good location and best roof bar and view.The best breakfast l have had in a hostel.

Liked: Metropolis hostel is a great place to stay in old town. Rooms are very nice and we had one with sea view and it was quite clean too and probably the best showers we have had in a hostel. The location is good too. Close to all museums and mosques and right next to Topkapi Palace. You can just take a tram to new town where there are many bars cafes and restaurants. No needs to looks somewhere else, l would stay here again.

Disliked: The Owner is a rude person, and he gets in trouble in Istanbul with his baseball bat! Crazy dude!

Liked: Location near the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and the Grand Bazar.

Disliked: Despite giving over 24 hours notice that we could not make the first night due to train delays we were still charged for the night. The restaurant/bar on the roof is overpriced. There are much better deals for food and drinks in the main street round the corner. For example, the hostel's cocktails are 22 lira (£8 ish) while we found some for 9 lira (£4 ish).

Liked: Location was amazing. Staff friendly. Good atmosphere

Disliked: Should be a warning about steep stairs. Would be impossible for anyone with any sort of disability. Shared bathrooms were very dirty.

Liked: We liked EVERYTHING!! The owner was incredibly lovely and accommodating, the place was a real great to stay at and the location was amazing. Stay here, and then tell your friends to do likewise.

Liked: It was very convenient, the staff was very helpful, room was nice with a good air conditioner. Also, they have a great breakfast.

Disliked: The only thing I didn't like was the number of bathrooms- we really had to carefully time when we got up so that we could brush our teeth/shower/go to the restroom. Otherwise, things were great!
