Liked: Was easy to get to.

Disliked: This place was a DISASTER. I also agree that the 100% ratings have been faked, especially since most of them seem to repeat the same thing over and over again. I didn't stay at this place for more than two hours because my experience was so bad. I work at a hostel in Munich, so I know what a highly rated hostel should be; this was not it. The guy at the front desk was so rude and arrogant. I asked him about the exchange rate he was using because I was not getting the same result he was and he immediately became defensive. I have never seen someone react so aggressively; however, because it was so late and I was tired I still paid for two nights and went upstairs. The room was run down and the bathroom moldy, the lockers were shabby. I have seen worse, however, I was a bit surprised to see it in a hostel so highly rated. So after my experience with the guy at the reception and just being disappointed with the hostel I decided to leave without getting a refund on the 24€ I paid and just went to a place around the corner which was much more pleasant.

Liked: had a lovely stay with metropolis hostel. Excellent service and facilities. Great value for money. l would stay here again. Metropolis restaurant is very good too and staff both at hostel and restaurant are very friendly.

Liked: l've stayed here 3 times and never disappointed. Super location, staff and roof bar. already missed amazing breakfasts at terrace.

Liked: fab hostel, staff and atmosphere and it is definetely one of the best one l have stayed during my trip. Cool roof bar and amazing free breakfast.

Liked: what a wonderful hostel. lt is our second time staying at metropolis hostel and both time were just amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast as usual and amazing roof top with stunning views.

Liked: My stay at metropolis was incredible. Super friendly staff and travelers and awesome roof bar. Highly recommended if you visit istanbul this is place to stay!

Liked: Location of hostel is great. just a few minutes away from seights and has a great roof bar to chill. Met quite nice people during my stay. Breakfast was decent too.

Liked: Great location, clean, and safe.

Disliked: The front desk staff was not very friendly. Helpfull tips and suggestions of things to see and do in the area had to be dragged out of the staff. Also there are a lot of extra charges; example is showering before or after check in, etc, etc. Lastly, there are two seprate buildings. The second building is in a fantastic location but can get kind of loud at night.

Liked: such a great hostel in the heart of old city. delicious breakfasts at roof terrace and some amazing bbq nights. Belly dancer was so much fun and the best part was pubcrawl.

Liked: Great service and facilities. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is free and actually it is quite good one for a hostel. Cheap transfer to airport.

Liked: Very central to the main sights, good value for money, our room was clean, shared bathroom got cleaned daily, breakfast was basic but lots of fresh fruit and cheese etc, staff were really helpful.

Disliked: The only thing we disliked were our neighbours, a 4 bunk room was next to our double, it was full of young guys who were not the most considerate with keeping the noise down at 2am.
