 fantastic hostel with very nice ocean view. it was very clean and staff was just great. location is great and its very close to all main sightseeing. had really good dinner at restaurant and free breakfast at roof was good too.

All facilities were great. Their terrace is marvellous with great views and the free breakfast is very good. I reccomend this hostel

metropolis hostel is the best one by sooo far. staff is very helpfull and friendly. it is as clean as a 3 star hotel. the breakfast at roof top is very tasty and rich. also you should try metropolis restaurant around the corner( we had our best meal in turkey). free internet was always provided. thanks for having us.

Fabulous location - set a street back from the Akbiyik Caddesi where most of the other backpacker hostels are so you had really easy access to the bars and the restaurants on this street without having to put up with its soundsystems blaring on if you were trying to sleep. Five minutes from the blue mosque and haghia sophia and all the sites of Sultanahmet. Roof terrace was lovely. Bedlinen was changed every day and the rooms were cleaned really well. Electricity has had some issues as they're digging up the main street (Akbiyik Caddesi) but from talking to other people - this caused electricity outages in all the hotels and hostels in the area, so what can you do - the metropolis put candles where it was safe to do so and it was quite atmospheric and sweet actually. Staff can arrange a really cheap airport transfer (4euro) from you that meets you at the hostel which was a bonus.

This place had a great atmosphere even though we had no power for the 2 days that we stayed here. We were not given a reduction in the room prices for this which was a shame, we had no air con lights or hot water for this time period but great people to hang out with.

Hostel was good and cheap and really near the tourist attractions! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The roof terrace and sea view, the nice (and free) breakfast... The hostel is within walking distance of almost everything !

Definitely the staff, they are friendly and absolutely helpful. They always have time to chat.
The roof terrace and bar is great and I believe makes it to one of the best hostels in Istanbul.

friendly sfaff, good location, good breakfast, very nice terrace, free internet, nice family running the hostel and they are always ready to help you bcoz some of them live at hostel so, they are ready to help you 24 hours. and also it was very nice to have 24 hours reception. and we had very good food at their restaurant and we had %10 discount.

It was a great location, the staff were fantastic (family run), the view from the roof top amazing! I have nothing negative to say about it at all.

The view from the terrace was great looking across the Bosphorus and being able to enjoy our breakfast on the terrrace. The location was really good. Muro the owner, was very friendly .

it was CLEAN. they even changed the sheets for us during our one week stay there. who expects that from a hostel? the view on the terrace is absolutely stunning. free internet and breakfast. no towels available, though.

the location is fantastic, with incredible sunset views over the Bosphorus from the social rooftop. Breakfast is very good, - try to get one of the airconditioned dorm rooms if you can.

Warm and homely atmosphere. Incredible views from the chilled out roof terrace. Great place to meet people, I met some very friendly travellers. Very friendly and helpful staff.. the best looking brothers (and nephew) you will meet in Turkey!

METROPOLIS HOSTEL is the best hostel I've been by far. the staff is very friendly and helpfull. they organised my all needs. the roof top terrace is amazing with great sea view.
the breakfast was the best things to start a day. also free internet was good. they have the tastiest food at their restaurant and also we got 10% discount. and location of this hostel is good too so, you can go everywhere on foot.
