Customer reviewLocation is nice, in a central area of turist?c spots. ?nternet ?s free!Reasonable for budget travellers but could be much cleaner, better food (breakfast), and better pr?vate rooms. The Pr?vate rooms bathrooms are very small , don't have a proper shower, but the bed ?s good. The Dorms are large and seems to be comfortable. |

Customer reviewPerfect location for those who would like to be around Sultanahmet. A secure place to stay. Open buffet breakfast, clean bathroom and WC. Air conditioner and TV in private rooms. Very helpful staff. I stayed one more night on the way back home. Simply loved it, I would stay there again. |

Customer reviewWe had a double ensuite, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was generous and served untl 10.30 which allowed for a lie in. Unfortunately we didn't manage to sleep in past 8am due to building work being carried out next door. If you want a lie in then check with the hostel that building work has finished next door. |

Customer reviewThe best value hostel of about 6 we stayed in in Turkey. Used another about 10 metres away for 6 euro less (in a double private with own bathroom) and there was no comparison. This place is modern so great sound proofing. |

Dennis FelmleeFour of us stayed seven nights at Big Apple during the week December 6 through 12, 2009. This is not a good time to visit Istanbul as it is the time of Festival of Sacrifice. Because of this, the Grand Bazaar is closed as is the roof top bar at the hostel. We found the staff to be friendly and eager to please, but some were not well versed in English. We stayed on the second level where there were two toilets, one with a shower, and a separate and spacious shower room. I know that there are superior hostels in Istanbul, but because of the price and the location, we were very pleased. My wife and I are Americans living in Romania and we were joined by our 25 year old daughter and by a 29 year old Romanian lady friend. The Romanian lady owns a very nice hostel in Suceava and was more critical than the rest of us. However, she agreed that the price was right for what we received. |

salim farrarLocation & the facilities in the family room. We like the lounge downstairs as well. (a kettle in the room would have been nice though especially in winter time) |
