Liked: I spent 7 days here and absolutely loved it. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I met some fantastic people through sharing breakfast on the sunny roof terrace in the morning, then relaxing drinks on the terrace after a long day sightseeing. I would definately recommend this to others travelling alone as I was.

Liked: Great location! Clean, nice terrace. The staff were helfpul. Only downside is the breakfast (minimal) and the construction next door. Also, not much peace and quiet which may not be a bad thing if you're the party type!

Liked: Good location and free internet (with three computers!). Pity about running the gauntlet through carpet sellers and restaurant owners each time I came back from a day of sightseeing.

Liked: Very nice hostels. Beds sectioned off with curtains for privacy. Nice and clean bathrooms and showers. Great breakfast and common room. Free events for guests.

Liked: The hospitality of the staff was wonderful and welcoming. They were very friendly and helpful in directing us as to where to go to get the most of our trip to Istanbul. Great chats about the world at reception over sweet cups of tea!

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at Big Apple. The people were really friendly, breakfast was great, and you can't beat the location. I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Very good price, especially because the pair of us had a four bed room mostly to ourselves. Staff very helpful (immediately sorted an ant problem in our room, arranged pickup for us from sabiha gokcen airport), breakfast is included and the place is very clean. There was a slight issue with the drainage one day (the water went off) but it was fixed fairly quickly (you get what you pay for really). Everyone staying was very nice but would definitely not describe it as a party hostel. It's just off one of the main touristy streets in that area so is ideal for sightseeing, restaurants etc. As two girls we didn't feel too threatened walking around there at night (though would recommend being close to home by around 10). All in all would tell other people to stay there.

Liked: The location is fantastic - it's close to everything in Sultanhamet - the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sophia are REALLY close. The facilities themselves are poorly done, and the water supply is spotty.
