Liked: The staff is absolutely amazing! They are very welcoming and helpful, and most of them speak great English. Metin is even working on Korean! The beds are comfortable, everything was very clean. The front door is always locked, and if you bring your own padlock you can lock up your cubby in the dorm too. Plenty of electrical outlets. Breakfast is so fantastic that I skipped lunch every day, and there is always Turkish tea in the evenings. The kitchen also has an amazing view of the Bosphorus. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Istanbul, and highly recommend it to other travelers!

Disliked: Just to be clear: the Tulip Guesthouse is amazing and I loved every bit of it. But Sultanahmet was a different matter. As nice as it is to be so close to most of the popular sights, I really don't like the neighborhood. I was constantly being accosted by men who clearly wanted something more. Probably because I'm a solo female traveler. A word of advice: never tell them if you're an American! Apparently Turks have some nasty stereotypes about American women. Once I started saying I was Canadian, they left me alone.

Liked: very close to the main tourist attractions in Istanbul. Rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delicious. This hostel is a great value for the money.

Liked: Location is one of the best in Istanbul, it is very good value for the price, staff is friendly and helpful, and it is compleetly safe.

Liked: Un excelente lugar para quedarse en Estambul, a mí me lo recomendaron y fue realmente una buena experiencia. El desayuno es excelente, muy completo y con panqueques hechos en casa!!! La ubicación es excelente, ya que está al lado de todo lo que no te puedes perder de conocer. Es seguro y muy limpio. Realmente recomendable, para quienes buscan algo bueno y sencillo, porque no es un hotel pero es realmente acogedor.

Liked: i just stayed one night but it was really a good experiment for me. Everywhere was too clean and breakfast was also excellent. i liked there too much hopefully i will come back again. Finally it has a great location that in heart os old Istanbul you can smell air of Ottoman:) Teşekkürler

Liked: Very nice guesthouse, Nuri and Irfan are very nice and helpful. Location is convenient, nice good breakfast is really welcome! It is nice to come up to the kitchen/common room after a day and meet other travellers and enjoy nice traditional Turkish Tea that is always warm.

Liked: The hostel is very nice, I really liked everything. The staff is really friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. For me, it was a vrey good choice.

Liked: Tulip Guesthouse is conveniently located near all the major sites in Sultanahmet and is also easy to access by public transportation. The rooms are lovely and clean, the breakfast is very good, and the internet is free. In addition to all of that, the staff is extraordinary. I was traveling in Istanbul alone and did not know anyone before arriving, but I never felt alone because the staff at Tulip Guesthouse was so hospitable and warm. Metin and Irfan quickly felt like old friends. The staff at Tulip really goes above and beyond for their guests . On this particular trip, I was traveling through Greece and Turkey for a few weeks and stay at half a dozen hotels and none compared to Tulip Guesthouse in comfort and hospitality. Liked: good location, close to main sites and a good food street. great breakfast. i was in twin share with bathroom, normal standard for turkey.

Disliked: the stairs where quite steep and narrow but if thats all i have to complain about its not bad.

Liked: Absolutey wonderful accomodation - I stayed in the dorm and there was lots of room, it was clean, the toilets were clean and there was always hot water. As a solo woman mature traveller it was perfect. The Guesthouse was a nice mix of young and mature travellers - the breakfast room has a lovely view and I spent lots of time socializing in the evenings there. The staff are excellent, excellent, excellent - very warm and helpful. I will only stay here when in Istanbul again!

Liked: Tulip Guesthouse is a great place to stay. The accommodations are simple and clean, the breakfast is outstanding and the location allows one to easily visit many of the major sites of Istanbul on foot.

Liked: Close to all major sightseeing in Sultanahmet, staff was friendly and helpful from booking tickets to arranging taxi, linen and towels were changed regularly(in private suit). Very tasty, filling turkish breakfast.

Disliked: Our windows faced busy street so we could hear music till 11 and sometimes later at night. Bath had some smell so it would be nice to install some forced air(fan).

Liked: Appart from tha fact that there was a cunfusion with our booking, anything else was fine. They also have nice breakfast.

Disliked: If you want a proper Hostel room, you shouldn't come here of course. But for a cheap hostel everything is perfect. The rooms are nice and cosy. Only the bathrooms have a lower standard.

Liked: Just location.

Disliked: we booked a taxi to pick us up from the Ataturk airport then the driver dropped us at another hotel named Tulip but on the Asian side. That's the first bad thing. Breakfast is poor. Staff cannot speak English at the communicative level. I think just 1 or 2 can speak. No lobby to sit and wait.

Disliked: the stairs... but the staff carried our bags up so no big deal really. Our toilet was slightly loose on It's base and was emitting a slight odour but once again nothing major we had a great stay
