Liked: Really clean, a good breakfast with a lot of stuff and not just toast and jam. They are also extremely well located right next to the Blue Mosque in the center of the historical center of Istanbul.

Liked: Good clean hostel in a great location. Nice Turkish breakfast with bread, jam, olives, cheese, Turkish pancakes and fruit. Staff are very friendly. If you want to be right near the action but not stay directly above it like other hostels in area then this is your place!

Liked: Very friendly staff, all relaxed and outgoing. The breakfast area was very nice with view to the sea and the breaktfast itself was super with breads, vegetables, cheese, fruits, tea and coffee! The room was a 8 bed dorm, but enough space for every one, bug lockers and the beds had really good mattresses.Nothing to complain at all!

Liked: WE LOVE TULIP HOSTEL! Metropolis is overrated.Everyone's friendly (staff and guests), rooms are clean and comfortable, showers are good (just what you want after an 11hr night bus!) and hostel owners, particularly Mehmet, are absolute legends.

Liked: Tulip Guesthouse is a wonderful little guesthouse with superb and very friendly staff! The Guesthouse itself is very basic but clean, the location is in the heart of the city with most attractions walking distance. There are local restaurants and a shop across the guesthouse for snacks. Bedsheets were changed everyday and fresh towels were given.. Breakfast was nice and even when we woke up late the staff still served us up with smiles! Mehmet and Anis were very hospitable and showed great warmth and generosity!! The staff made it a pleasant stay for us! 5 stars for Tulips hospitality!!!

Liked: The highlight of this place is the super friendly and helpful staff, the great breakfast (not just sliced bread and butter but actual rolls, eggs and a very Mediterranean selection of olives, cheese, etc!), beautifully clean toilets and showers and equally comfy beds. So ...almost everything really!The diner looks at the sea and the skyline of the other side of the river.The dorms (not pictured) don't look as glamorous as the single rooms but certainly are more fun as we ended up hanging out lots with our roommates : )The only thing I missed for a moment was a common room with a sofa (but for this prices who cares right?)Make sure to bring a little something from where u are from to leave your mark. The dinning tables have a collection of notes and coins from all over the world under the glass protecting them (including Cuban pesos !). Also, by the entrance, many people have left photos, hats, etc. Oh, yeah, location! Its great for all the main touristy stuff but expect to share a cab back after the nights out in Taksim (15 TL).. unless of course you are Cinderella and take the last Tram at midnight : )

Liked: Staff is nice,kind and helpfull. They do all possible for you to feel like at home in a great atmosphere!! moreover, its very well located, safe and very clean. I specially liked the staff and I highly will recommend the place for my friends.

Liked: Really great place with a really great and friendly staff. If I have to come back to Istanbul I will definitely come back at Tulip. If you are looking for a good stay as well as making friends for sure I would recommend to you this hostel.

Liked: the hostel was great, rooms really nice, loved the view from the top (kitchen/diner). location is good, just 5 minutes from aya sofia and the blue mosque. but be careful, google maps has the wrong location.the staff is the best!!!! <3

Liked: We really loved the Tulip. We had stayed at a different hostel (Istanbul Hostel, right around the block) and were not satisfied at all. We were really happy when we moved to Tulip and were greeted by a really friendly staff and a free breakfast in the morning (even though we didn't stay the night before!). The breakfast was a wonderful buffet where we stuffed ourselves silly. The dorm was fine with big lockers for all our stuff and the showers and bathrooms were really clean and actually very convenient as other places we had stayed did not even have a shower door to keep all our clothes from getting wet. Tulip is great value for your money and the staff is unlike all the other shady characters in the neighborhood. PS This review is completely legit unlike almost all the other places in Sultanhamet, where they force you to review their hostel with you, or just do it for you... specifically, Istanbul Hostel (boo). Beware of this when looking at reviews of places in Istanbul... most of them are completely untrue!

Liked: Mehmet and Enes were wonderful! The people here are so kind and friendly, they definitely made our stay fun and enjoyable. The rooms are clean with large windows and bright walls, the bathrooms are clean. Breakfast was always delicious.

Liked: After our long flight from Canada, the staff really made us feel welcome and safe. I would definitely stay athere gain. I've been in several places within Turkey, and this one has lots of charm.

Liked: the workers and the travellers are all quite nice in this cosy place. i stayed in the dorm room which has comfortable bunk beds and i slept very well. the free coffee and tea is nice. it is quite small so you will not have a big party but it is good for meeting people then you can go out if you like. so it is quiet enough to sleep also. if you play chess, you will enjoy playing with mehmet who is quite good.

Liked: Tulip Guesthouse was a great base for exploring the historical part of Istanbul. The staff was very friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I met lots of other travelers and Mehmet and Enes are the best. I plan on staying here again and would recommend this to anyone travelling to Istanbul.
