Liked: Great little guesthouse in an ideal location for exploring the historical area. Cute little room, big bathroom and friendly, helpful staff. Right near the lively bar street of Sultanahmet but not effected by any noise. Highly recommended !

Liked: Its location - many restaurants and shops nearby, and cleanliness. Great breakfasts, clean towels everyday.

Disliked: No place to dry washed clothes or wet towels.

Liked: Cheap dorm bed. Good location. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

Disliked: No ventilation in the bathroom, not really any common areas.

Liked: The staff Metin and Nuri were incredibly helpful and esp when I had my camera stolen... Nuri came at the end of my 5 hour ordeal to translate and to help me deal w the Turkish police who do not speak English. The breakfast here is phenomenal overlooking the Bosphorus sea.. superbly fresh bread, fruit and traditional Turkish breakfasts. Recommend it to everyone!

Disliked: No fan or air conditioning in the dorm rooms.

Liked: The staff were absolutely fantastic, almost didn't seem like staff but friendly people who happened to be around. Great in helping sort bookings and trips out, good company as well!

Disliked: It did get a bit noisy at times, but not really a bother.

Liked: Staff was excellent. They were very helpful and very nice.

Disliked: Nothing unacceptable just that the hostel itself is a tad older than expected, but nothing big.

Liked: I lked the fact the hostel is located in the very heart of istanbul' at a walikg distance of the main sites one wishes to visit.

Disliked: There is nothing to dislike :)

Liked: The location and it was easy to find. The owner was very, very helpful but not there all the time. The other staff were friendly and obliging but there were some communication difficulties.

Disliked: bathrooms need fixing.

Liked: Staff were helpful, location really good, breakfast nice and our dorm had a little outdoor area to sit in but there was no other hang out area. Nice place though would reccomend.

Liked: Very clean, great location.

Disliked: Very limited in terms of common areas. Self catering is not allowed and the kitchen es quite small.

Liked: The hostel was generally great. Fantastic location (about five minutes walk from the Aya Sofya and the Topkapi Palace). Really friendly and helpful staff. Generally positive and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen/lounge was a really nice place to hang out and meet other people. The breakfast is quite good.

Disliked: Nothing really. My only disappointment was that I couldn't get my netbook to connect to the (free) wifi network. But I used the communal computer instead, so nbd.

Liked: I stayed only for one night, so cant really make any comments but it was good and the location is absolutely ideal, you are near the station, the mosques etc etc.

Liked: The staff were really friendly!! My bag was delayed by 24 hours so they were more than happy to give me clothes to wear until my things arrived. Go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Istanbul. The breakfast is amazing and the whole place is really clean Will come back to the Tulip guesthouse!
