It had it's own travel agency in a room adjacent to reception plus computers in the lobby plus snacks and bar in basement. This meant staff were always there to help and other people were always around, making a friendly atmosphere.

the owner is so helpful and knowledgeable; breakfast was excellent; great location and great value; would not use the travel agency next door for bus information - not very knowledgeable on options

The location is fantastic and the fact that there is a travel desk as well really helps. They managed to organise the rest of our trip for us which was very helpful.

This was a great place to meet people and have a good time, with a really good location, close to the other hostels and to all the sights in Sultanahmet. Was v noisy till late at night, so I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to relax! Staff were sometimes hard to find but were very friendly and helpful. Really nice Turkish breakfast. Great atmosphere.

The atmosphere and staff are real characters. At night there are plenty of things to do (we had a free show by a bellydancer). Ask for Cuma, he's a great guide and he will show you the ropes. It's close to the blue mosque and the Aya Sofia and 5 minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar. Best hostel I have stayed in, if only based on atmosphere and experience value...

location is great. Nice people to meet there but if you really wanna more meet people and party though go to the orient. They have a hot hot hot resident belly dancer there too!!!

It was not the first time I stayed at the ISTANBUL HOSTEL. Every time I meet here the great manager with his friendly staff. The atmosphere is wonderful, the bathrooms and linen are clean and fresh. What I like most is the roof terrace - a great view, funny and cool nights. A lot of people all around the world are gathering here to spent their time. What more would I like ? To spent more time in Istanbul, and especially, in ISTANBUL HOSTEL. I love you ;-)
