Liked: Awesome place; Great location, friendly and helpful service both morning and night, good breakfast, nice atmosphere at the lounge, and all for a really cheap price!

Liked: Great location near Hagia Sophia, tram and bazaars. Restaurant and internet are available. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Spent New Year's eve at grand party. Good price for money. Staff was very helpful!!

Disliked: Probably the most challenging aspect was the staircase to rooms. This is a hostel you don't spend a lot of time in your room.

Liked: The bar and restaruant, and i bet in summer the rooftop terrace would be amazing, it was in a great location. also having free internet (and computers) was great for those who dont take a laptop with them

Disliked: There was only one key per room, that you shared with everyone else staying in it, meant the room was often unlocked

Liked: The bar and restraunt, with the nice cushioned area and the shisha!

Disliked: There was only one key per room of 6, so i dont think the room was locked the whole time

Liked: Very friendly staff, there's a bar in the same house, (Turkish style) breakfast was good and free and the hostel is very close to the most important sights like Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Highly recommended !

Liked: Staff very friendly - having a restaurant also made life very easy if you are tired after a full days walking. Breakfast is good too.

Disliked: There is no lift and I was on the 4th floor - but the guy at the desk kindly carried my luggage for me.

Liked: The atmosphere in the bar room gets great during the evening. The place has a good style and places where to relax. The beds are good and strong. Staff nice and helpful.

Disliked: Only one toilette for several rooms.

Disliked: I stayed in the 24 person dorm and there was no door so anyone could walk into the room, they did have lockers tho.

Liked: I'd really recommend this hostel for anyone wanting to stay in Sultanhamet. it's quiet but sociable, I was given a key for a personal locker, the room was fine, breakfast was great, but the best feature is probably the incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: Slight drawback is only one toilet per floor (for the rooms that don't have en-suite that is). I had to wait once or twice.

We pay the amount agreed at the hotel when the carriage arrived and two hotel employees falarm that was the transport that we had paid. I confirmed with the taxi driver if he was paid and he also said yes. So we ... when we arrived at the airport the taxi driver discovered the odometer, which until then had been hidden. He said it at the airport we had to pay another 75 euros and told us that we had not paid so he released his bags and said he would call the police. Of course I paid, it would be foolish not to overnight in another country to make trouble. But CARE ....... Do not stay in this Hostel,,,,,, We felt very violated ...

Liked: location only, free breakfast, and tea coffee all day, free wifi when it worked

Disliked: Security - I was located on the top floor dorm - Level5, and people just walked in and out, no key, and keep came up the fire stair in the middle of the night. Curtains did not work, and most windows did not have them at all. They had a terrace right next to the level 5 dorm, and people sat there drinking all night, sometimes till 4am.... so very noisy. Hostel has no really chill out tv food area, and no one wants to sit in the cafe downstairs all day long. I became very sick and needed medical assistance and the staff were extremely unhelpful. I had to stay in bed for 4 days straight and had no energy to walk down the 5 flights of stairs, when I finally got down there asking for hospitals and doctors, chemist details, they were not interested at all. After I left Istanbul I traveled all over Turkey, then returned to Istanbul, and refused to stay at this hostel again. Toilets were dirty and smelt, and I never got a guest discount of food and drinks.

Liked: The location was fab, could not ask for better!

Disliked: It caters solely for students between the ages of 16 -19. We originally booked for 4 nights in the 24 bed dorm. We stayed for only one., when we arrived our beds had already been slept in and the terrace is cluttered with beer bottles and fag packets. Didn't sleep well because of the 20 odd kids on the roof getting drunk. Not good for couples or more mature travellers.
