Liked: though it has a good location,it can get quite noisy late at night (as there are many restaurants and pubs nearby) and early in the morning about 5-6am.

Liked: The roof terrace is amazing, in a lively part of town, with a great atmosphere. Really close to all the tourist attractions and lovely staff! Would definitely return!

Liked: Lovely hostel, very good value - we even came back after a few days for a second stay! The breakfast was lovely and the location was perfect, nestled among heaps of other backpacker places.

Liked: The hostel was clean and the staff were fluent in English and very helpful. They will book travel for you to other places in Turkey and will advise on how to travel in Instanbul to sights. They also offer a pick up service from both airports in Istanbul for a fee which is worth it.It is located in the same district as the main sites such as Hagia Sophia and there are lots of decent places to eat for cheap around the area too.There is a luggage room which gets quite full and free internet which can only be used for 15 minutes at a time which is good as it means everyone gets a turn.

Liked: Pros: Clean dorms with clean beds and sheets, relatively comfortable shared bathroom with separate toilet and clean shower.Cons: Awful mattresses (springs projects out of the mattress), very loud music until 1.00 at night, toilet shared with customers of the cafe/bar of the hostel which resulted in dirty toilets at night and early in the morning.

Liked: Everything was just fine and good value for the money except one thing that could have been better: luggage safety. The luggage room door was wide open and unguarded most of the time and it would have been easy for anyone to pick and choose between the suitcases there.

Liked: It is centrally-located, a few minutes walk from hagia sofia and the blue mosque as well as topkapi palace. Apart from that, there's lots of restaurants around so its easy to find food, late at night.

Liked: Good location close to major sights for sightseeing. Good wifi connection, breakfast and lockers etc etc. good value place to stay and friendly hlepful staff.

Liked: The staff was very kind and helpful. It was my first time in Turkey and those guys were really nice. They helped me even with a crash course on how to play Baglama, and looked for tram connections to the airport, etc. there is just one thing i didn't like at all. The music was too loud in the bar, one could barely have a conversation with the other guests, either outside or inside.in general i liked it very much.j.

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. I was in a 6-bed dorm for women and actually made lovely new friends with whom I will definitely keep in touch. My stuff was perfectly safe and I got to use the internet every day without having to wait an age. Meeting and interacting with other guests in the restaurant was fun. It was like a home stay - nice to get back to a warm smile and a greeting after spending a tiring day out sight-seeing. If I ever return to Istanbul, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere other than the Sultan Hostel once again!
