Liked: Close to the main sights in Istanbul

Disliked: Great hostel if you like to go out and party all night, not so much if you like to get some sleep. I had a guy yelling in his sleep all night - it's times like this that I wish you could choose your dorm-mates!

Liked: The staff were really helpful. They could answer or point you in the right direction for anything you would like to know about Istanbul and Turkey. The breakfast is ok, but turkish. The cleaning staff do their best so the majority of time it is clean.

Disliked: We had to change rooms a few times in our stay due to the presence of other tour groups staying with us. While this was ok, the comfort level of the matress and pillow differed greatly from room to room. ANZAC WARNING: if you are staying in this hostel around anzac tim be aware that the Fanatics tour gorups use it as their base. they are loud, obnoxious and party pretty hard every night. during our stay they broke several toilets, vomitted in hallways and the resturant/bar and were fairly full on. we lost a lot of sleep as a result of their parties but didnt mind too much as we were able to join in on occaisions. it does wear thin after a while however.

Liked: Really central

Disliked: It doessnt have a kıtchen and the common room ıs the restaurant ıtself (so ıts not as confortable as a normal common room). Its ın a purely tourıstıc street. The restaurant and the esplanade often have really loud musıc (many tımes, you can hear the musıc from three restaurants/bars at the same tıme, whıch ıs creally unconfortable!)

Liked: Small but nice and helpful staff. Nice breakfast.

Disliked: The rooms are quite small but it isn't a problem. Showers are strange. It is a sink, toilet and shower all in the same place without any barriers. So taking a shower means the floor and everything around gets wet. This is the same with private or common shower. It wasn't so crowded when I was there so the toilet in the room was kept dry and we used the shower on the corridor.

Liked: İt was within walking dıstance to Hagıa Sofıa, Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, public transportation, shopping, and the Sea.

Disliked: There was some disorganızation regarding occupancy of the rooms.

Liked: The athmosphere was really good and the party at the hostel is great. It's almost like living in a pub. You get to know a looot of people. The breakfast is good. I think for the price you pay is a great hostel. Security is also good, don't hesitate to bring your laptop because computers here are kind of slow.

Disliked: I totaly recomend it if you are steying for less than 5 days. After that it could get difficult to stay because you don't have another place to be that is not your room or the pub in the hostel, where you are treated like a guest but also like a customer. It's difficult to have privacy or even a plece with some tranquility. There is no common area nor kitchen. And the roof lounge promoted in the web page was out of service.

Liked: Very safe and great location. the breakfast is very good, and if you have time to hang arround at night in the bar, try the apple water pipe! excelent!!Te best money-quality hostel

Liked: great location, right in the heart of it all

Disliked: i think due to the time of year it was quiet so i didnt meet a lot of people and being a single traveller thats really important i also had a bad run in with one of the staff which tainted my experience

Liked: The location is perfect, within walking distance from main attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was very good value for money, the breakfast is consistent and there is free coffee and tea during the day.

Disliked: The bathroom was a bit small and there was a leaking pipe. The beds were clean, but they seemed somehow fragile and squeeky.

Liked: We stayed there with 2 teachers and 15 students aged 18 from Germany. Everything (except for the weather) was perfect. Staff is extremeley friendly and well organized. Breakfast is good (Cappuccino!), rooms clean. Location perfect. The Turkish bath thex recommend (I forgot the name) is much better than of the tourist places like Cemberlitas Hamam. Go spend a rainy day there.

Disliked: It is a hostel and a pub, not a restaurant, so don't eat there.

Liked: Three in house computers with internet access mean you don't need to bring a laptop (though it might allow you to work faster).

Disliked: Shuttle pick up from Sabiha Gocken Airport is significantly more than the 25 Euro price (Probably for the closer Ataturk Airport) indicated on Hostelbookers.

Liked: The guys are always friendly and helpfull. i lost my bag at the internet room, cause i left it there and it was directly safed by the nice turkish guys working there

Disliked: the bed was made only twice in 6 days, but for 10 € a day incl. breakfast worth 4,5 € if you would order it as visitor.
