 The longe with loads of dvds, the girl at reception was amazing and we got a free upgrade on our room for 4 days!!

Straight out the front door turn right and take ten steps, you have ALL the local buses that go all around Phuket (beats the tuk tuk)for 30B each way, thats only $1.20 AUS. Its also the main road the Vegi Festival is on and the food stalls are right at your front door, the local restaurants are fantastic and for about 50B each you get a full meal and drink! The staff are more than happy to organise everything from your smelly washing for 150B to motorbike hire and all the touristy things that go with Thailand! And lets not forget the CHEAP alochol they have waiting for you in reception. The best stay I had in Phuket.

Everything, i even booked to stay longer. There is a large lounge area where everyone hangs out. A good atmosphere is promoted by the staff. There are loads of free dvds to watch and books to read.

The staff are really friendly, and even though I only stayed for a few days I managed to meet some great other travellers. With free internet access it is easy to book trips onwards and the reception can book taxisa and you can even hire a moped from them for 150BHT. Overall a great stay, I stayed in a air con room for 2 which I had to myself but the dorms looked comfy and for the cheaper price they are probably worth it. The hostel can give you your own locker at reception and the entrance is key controlled.

its got a great dvd collection and amazing common room. sadly, this is because it is so far away from the beach that it needs something for people to do. still, if you need to stay in town a night there is no better option. hands down a great hostel.
